If you'd like, shoot me over your serial number and the corner-cases you don't have answers for and I can look into it.

[EXTERNAL] thoughts on tripp lite Smart Online UPSs?
I'm obviously biased but I like Tripp Lite stuff.
I try to pitch in and help with Network UPS Tools issues related to Tripp Lite when I can too (albeit the developers and users on this list are usually more helpful than me).
Just to confirm, it sounds like you are looking at the SU5000RT4UHV, correct?

Tripp-Lite AVRX500U issues (objecttothis)
Does the github link not come through (https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/issues/799)? All the documentation that Tripp-Lite sent me on the 2012 protocol and my configuration files are on that issue. I doubt this mailing list will allow me to attach any files. It's the NUT github page.
At any rate ups.conf just has this in it. No offdelay or ondelay entries:

I'll reply all here once I have something to report.

Charles, thank you for that link to David's earlier message. I tried adding
those udev rules and changing the pollinterval. I need to do some tinkering
but I don't think the part RUN+="/sbin/upsdrvctl stop; /sbin/upsdrvctl
start" is working right. If I manually run the commands then the USB
disconnects stop and there are no kernel messages. Running "sudo

[EXTERNAL] thoughts on tripp lite Smart Online UPSs?
Re: "Does it work well with NUT?"
Assuming it is the SU5000RT4UHV, the similar units I've tried seemed to work fine. For reference, the SU5000RT4UHV should be a 4004 USB protocol.

[POSSIBLE FRAUD] Re: [EXTERNAL] Tripp Lite INTERNET750U instant commands ?
Ok thank's for your time David, the PSUs, I have two old ones, are working
very well. I simply put in new batteries and on they go :-). I'm using the
PSUs mostly to secure my Raspberry PIs, which are notorious to fail (SD
card) on power failures. Bye, jrb.

We had that discussion about the SMART1500LCDT & USB a long time ago:-(
I bought mine in 2013 (still going strong on the second set of
batteries) and in August 2016 we had some discussions about the USB

Thanks. Looks like an older SKU, so I'll look into it when I am back in the office later this week.

What driver are you using?
Can you provide the SKU portion of your serial number?

David,
That's exciting - but I am not seeing similar results.
I *must* be doing something dumb - but I can't see it.
I've got nut-2.7.4-8 installed on my pi
Hope you can help.

Add baked-in support for Tripp Lite 302x protocols (they seem to generally work with ups.conf modification)
Hi all,
I'm from Tripp Lite.
Many of our smaller standby and line-interactive have recently changed from 20xx protocol numbers to 302x protocol numbers.
This has caused issues for a few people on the users mailing list, for example:

David,
I appreciate the quick feedback!
If I didn't fat finger any of the parameters you sent me, it's still not working.
Here's the output from the attempt to start. (BTW - nothing appears in the daemon.log when I use the upsdrvctl command.)

Funny - I thought of that and had tried it. Didn't work
I also moved it from the USB2 ports to the USB3 ports.
Same result.
I have not heard of udev, but after quick googling and glancing at an example, /etc/udev/rules.d/99-com.rules
I am not convinced that I coule come up with a formula to make a working rule.
Is there a simple sample I can copy to help figure out elevated

I'm running Raspbian Buster, but given that the error seems to be "higher order" than a hardware issue - one of parsing the protocol? I suspect that Ubuntu would be a decent "lookalike" to model the issue.

Sorry, neglected to mention:
You'll need to either reload the udev rules or reboot to make the new rule "active".
