Denny, The first three commands had outputs but the "clog /var/log/system.log | grep -i ups” didn't output any. Did I do anything wrong? This is the output without the grep: can't allocate llinfo for <Public IP> on igb0 Aug 14 18:14:59 pfSense kernel: arpresolve: can't allocate llinfo for <Public IP> on igb0 Aug 14 18:15:00 pfSense kernel: arpresolve: can't

Kevin, As Matthijs noted, pfSense uses a circular log file. The default size is ~500KB, which can be a bit small. You can increase the log file size by changing the “Log file size” parameter on the Log management page. Look for the wrench symbol on the system log page (Status / System Logs / System / General). Note that you have to clear the log after changing its size. FWIW, I have mine set to

I'm not sure if this is a bug regarding the BATTDATE (apcupsd) and battery.date (NUT) but BATTDATE shows the correct date of 2016/05/11. While NUT shows the battery.date as 2001/09/25 which

NUT messes up UPS after mains power is restored
Hi Charles, Ok. I'm testing NUT now with only pfsense running as the master and no slaves. I'm noticing a very strange behavior that totally doesn't make sense to me. So here's what I did (in chronological order): 1. Set override.battery.charge.warning to 55 and override.battery.charge.low to 50. 2. I started with a full charge battery and unplugged the UPS from the mains.

APC Back-UPS 1500 RS - looking for help with strange behaviour
Hi All, hoping someone might have some insights to what is going wrong with my NUT setup and my APC Back - UPS RS 1500 (specifically a BR1500GI) using the usbhid driver. https://download.schneider-electric.com/files?p_File_Name=AHUG-9JU4RH_R0_EN.pdf&p_Doc_Ref=SPD_AHUG-9JU4RH_EN&p_enDocType=User%20guide Main issue: NUT successfully shuts down my server when it goes on battery but when

APC Back-UPS XS 1500G says "No battery"
I have a new-ish APC Back-UPS XS 1500G connected via USB. It's giving me a "ups.alarm: No battery installed!" error. I also installed and configured apcupsd to give that a try and it's giving me the same error. I suspect this is a driver problem because while NUT claims the battery isn't plugged in, it's giving me battery runtime/charge info. Both can't be valid

NUT messes up UPS after mains power is restored
UPDATE: I think I know what I did wrong. In step 7, I plugged the mains too early causing a power race condition as described by point #51 here<https://networkupstools.org/docs/FAQ.html> . I thought that when APC BR1500GI's display went black (even with the fans still running) it is already in a shutdown state. This was not the case, it waited for a few more seconds until it totally

apcsmart varibles
Hello, I am working on getting NUT working with my Smart-UPS 900 UPS (with the C c= able) For several years, I have used the apcupsd product, but because of the nagios support for nut, I am working on switching over. Under apcupsd, I get tons of information from my UPS: # /usr/local/sbin/apcaccess status DATE : Sat Jul 09 12:56:41 CDT 2005 HOSTNAME : homer RELEASE : 3.8.6 UPSNAME :

OT -- apcupsd messages
Does anyone here have any "feel" for the "Battery disconnected" and "Battery reattached" log entries? The rebooting came as a result of me turning off modems, router, external drives, monitor, cordless phone and finally, the computer, trying to locate a quiet but annoying "chirp". The "chirps" stopped when I tilted the UPS to look at the front

How do you setup the debug options in WinNUT? Correct, it sets the POWERDOWNFLAG when it receives an FSD but only if it acts as a NUT MASTER (since the UPS is connected locally to the NUT MASTER and can issue a killpower). This is the default value and I did not care to change it because it won't be use on my Windows machine anyway as it is working as a NUT SLAVE. Thank you. Regards, Kevin

Q: Samba AD, Pfsense, Windows 10, vpn
I only have some experience with OPNsense but maybe you can relate: - In my case it was always the certificate.? - I had to add the cert to the system certs using CLI. Adding them in the WebGUI was not enough. - Port 636 did not work for me, only 389 using STARTTLS Hope that helps... On 16. March 2020 at 08:13:50, Stefan G.
