UPS Losing Connection
Installed a new Tripplite Smart1500LCD on a CentOS 7 host using the usb
connector. Nut does connect:
$upsc ups
battery.charge: 100
battery.runtime: 1407
battery.type: PbAC
...
But after a half hour or so the connection is lost. Restarting nut
re-establishes the connection.
Any idea what might be causing the dissconnection?

Powerwalker VI 2200VA LCD
Hi,
- The device never re-connects to the system, i have to physically remove the USB plug and insert it again for the device to come back.
- This does not happen when running the driver from the supplier. (java process)
- When i poll every 60s it works for about 3 days, anything lower or higher causes it to disconnect faster
- The big log i sent is not the output of the driver? if not how can i

nut with hal on Fedora 8
I bought a new CyberPower CP850AVRLCD ups, connected it to a usb port
and I'm trying to use it with hal. I installed
[root at phoenix ~]# rpm -q nut nut-client
nut-2.2.0-6.1.fc8
nut-client-2.2.0-6.1.fc8
lsusb sees it:

I'm not sure how useful the nut-usbinfo.pl script will be without the NUT repository: it scans the NUT source files for certain

UPower: 95-upower-hid.rules update
Hi Richard and the list,
you'll find attached a patch for 95-upower-hid.rules, which adds:
- the "usbmisc" filtering, as added in your repo,
- more comments, including one that points at your UPower repo,
- 3 new manufacturers (Minibox, iDowell and Powerware)
- a bunch of new devices (7 HP, 1 APC, 1 TrippLite, 2 PowerCOM and 2
Liebert)
cheers,

DeviceKit-power
My UPS Powercom WOW-1000U does greatly work with NUT, but not
auto-cofigurable...
This UPS is not usb-hid ups, and works well with this settings in NUT:
[powercom]
desc = "powercom"
driver = powercom
port = "/dev/serial/by-id/usb-POWERCOM_CO.__LTD._USB_to_Serial-if00-port0"
type = IMP
lsusb -v fragment attached.
Unlike other UPSes, gnome-power-manager does

Common Power Management : NUT and HAL (stage 1)
Hi fellows,
I'm really pleased to announce that a first stage of NUT and HAL [1]
integration has been reached: NUT drivers (in fact, only newhidups,
tripplite_usb and bcmxcp_usb for the moment) can feed HAL data.
It's a "quick and dirty" hack, as a proof of concept, and there is
still lots of things to be done, both on NUT and HAL sides.
But it's a good base, and very

Keeps losing connection with UPS (local usb connection)
OS: Debian 3.16.36
Nut version: 2.7.4 from the ?stretch? distribution (this was to solve another problem ? which it did)
Install method: apt-get
Device: TRIPPLITE SMART1300LCDT using usbhid-ups driver
Problem: I keep getting the message
UPS tripplite at localhost is unavailable
If I do?
service nut-server stop
service nut-server start
Then everything is fine again for a while.

HAL and mounting volume
Hi, is there anybody understanding HAL?
I use CentOS 4 (RHEL 4) I need set specific mount options for USB flash
disk.
I found I can do it in
/usr/share/hal/fdi/95userpolicy/storage-policy.fdi
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?><!-- -*- SGML -*- -->
<deviceinfo version="0.2">
