NUT USB Delayed Communication
Hello,
Yes, "pollonly" is a driver option for certain devices (and relevant to
just some drivers).
Disconnects are probably relevant, at least to loss of connection (and
staying that way, with less agressive retries in NUT v2.7.4 and before).
There is a logged issue that "pollonly" mode might have trouble detecting a
disconnection/staleness, I'm not sure there's merit

HP R1500 G2
I'm attempting to get a HP R1500 G2 UPS working with Solaris 10
connected via USB.
Thanks to Arnaud's patch to drivers/tripplite-hid.c found at
http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut-upsuser/2010-February/005887.html
things mostly work.
upsc ups01 shows a couple of things that don't look quite right.

Hi.
I'm looking for a way to configure an Eaton Powerware 5125 under Debian

Slaves under Squeeze
hi,
I recently upgraded my Debian Lenny system to Squeeze, and have
been happily running nut as a MODE=standalone system talking to my
Cyberpower 1500 avr lcd via the usbhid-ups driver for a couple of weeks
or so. No problems.
Now I'm trying to hang another machine off the same ups as a slave,
and it isn't working. The problem I'm getting is best illustrated by

NUT USB Delayed Communication
Hello,
On one hand, sorry to hear that higher polling frequency in upsmon did not
help. On another, question is if the driver gets the info (online state and
its changes) from device quickly enough.
Initially I meant for you to also try if the "pollonly" flag (in each
device section of ups.conf for usbhid-ups instances) would make a
difference?.. I'd expect data-transfer interrupts

Master Works, Slave Does Not
I have made changes but it is still the same. That is when the server gets the lowbat/noAC signal it does shut down as expected but the slave does not.
Perhaps it makes sense for me to list the present settings:
On the Master:
nut.conf MODE=netserver

No, it's not.
I'd defer to the list for tips on that one.
First thing I'd try if no one else has ideas is checking lsusb and restarting the service.
Thank you,

unable to connect to APC UPS Connection Refused
I've not been able to connect to my ups using NUT 2.7.4 or NUT 2.8.0.
2.7.4 was installed as a package, 2.8.O was compiled from source.
I've messed with permissons, everything is root:root and has the approprate read/execute permissons. I've tried two differnt UPS(es) APC & CyperPower. I'm running PI OS (Raspbian) on a Raspberry Pi3 model B. The port 3493 is open (UFW). I can

Configuring a server without an UPS attached
This will sound a bit odd.
I have a current server running with a UPS. I'm in the process of
replacing that server with another and obviously want Nut to monitor the
new server. The new/old servers are in different locations, so I don't
have access to the UPS while configuring the replacement server.
I think I have the config ok, but what errors would you expect to see?
Typically I'm

Keep on losing communication: Raspberry Pi, CyberPower PR1500LCD
Everything runs fine for several hours, then communication is lost and nut
doesn't reestablish communication on its own.
Running sudo upsdrvctl stop then sudo upsdrvctl start reestablishes
communication.

New improved version of nut-report script
A couple of different issues with the reporting script. First the password
masking is not working as intended: I have three different passwords in my
ups.users file and only the last one is masked. Here's the first part of
the resulting report where I've replaced the unmasked passwords with
<PASSWORD-n>.

Thanks again for your help today. You're amazing.
If the folks on the list could chime in - thoughts about what I could try next?
