Assistance with understanding how to setup NUT for our small server room
Hello,
We have a small server room for our various Proxmox Host Servers, UTM
system and managed switches. I've recently discovered NUT and would like
to use it to monitor our UPS boxes using Raspberry Pi's. I have a few
questions regarding the setup and I'm hoping this community can point me in
the right direction.
I'll be installing the latest version of NUT on each Raspberry

Raspberry Pi Version of Samba?
I thought I'd chime in here a bit.
I'm no RPi guru - but I've used them quite a lot for monitoring installs - stuff like Smokeping/Nagios/OMD/Cacti.
They were cheap and seemed attractive low-power devices for client installs - back 5-6 years ago.
I'm definitely using regular PC's now.
Yes, the hardware is more expensive - but an Optiplex 7010 or the like off of ebay, with a

Hi,
I posted over at R-help, and didn't get a response, but perhaps that
was the wrong forum for this question. I'm having some confusion over
the coordinate system after using pairs. I'm not interested in the
content of the actual pairs plot, although the number of pairs seems
to matter a bit. I'm purely interested in knowing where subsequent
points will be plotted on the

I'm having some confusion over the coordinate system after using
pairs. I'm not interested in the content of the actual pairs plot,
although the number of pairs seems to matter a bit. I'm purely
interested in knowing where my points will be plotted on the device.
However, after using pairs, the par information (omd, fig, plt, and
usr) don't reflect what points does. For example:

Raspberry Pi Version of Samba?
A few months ago, I built a samba 4 DC on a RPi 2B v1.1 with Louis'
packages.
It's just like a normal Intel cpu based installation with a couple of minor
exceptions.
I built mine on Raspbian Lite. You'll have to add an additional user and
give it sudo privileges. The network setup was like the older Debian 9 by
simply adjusting /etc/network/interfaces. To add Louis' repo

Multi UPS Monitoring
Hey all,
I've read through as many relevant mailing list posts and public blog posts
as I could, but I can't seem to find an answer to my issue.
I currently have 2x Tripp Lite SMART1500LCDXLs, and I am attempting to
monitor both of them with the same Raspberry Pi using NUT. The problem I
have is there doesn't seem to be any way in the nut.conf to
differentiate between the two UPS via

par
Dear all, I have a question about "par" options.
When I choose par(pty="s",mfrow=c(2,2)), how can I change the horizontal distance between
the plots????
I have tried to use some options, like "mai", "mar", "oma", "omd", so on but I didn''t get the expected result.
Some suggest will be appreciated.

Monitoring Legrand Niky S
Hello,
I would like to monitor my UPS Legrand Niky S from a Raspberry Pi3 but I have not found it in the compatibility list.
Has anyone been able to monitor an UPS Legrand using NUT?
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

WERR_TIMEOUT Timeout with internal DNS
Hi there,
we are using Version 4.1.3-SerNet-Debian-7.wheezy deployed as AD with
internal DNS.
Perodically we found this message in samba.log (with debug dns:7):

Mailfiles gets duplicated
Hello,
With my configuration Dovecot creates multiple duplicates (sometimes 2,
sometimes 3, sometimes a plenty) of mailfiles when moving them into the
Sent or the Trash folders. This does not affect the Inbox folder. I
observed this while using Thunderbird on Ubuntu as a client as well as
K9-Mail on Android, therefore I expect this comes from the Dovecot
server and not from the client

unable to connect to APC UPS Connection Refused
I've not been able to connect to my ups using NUT 2.7.4 or NUT 2.8.0.
2.7.4 was installed as a package, 2.8.O was compiled from source.
I've messed with permissons, everything is root:root and has the approprate read/execute permissons. I've tried two differnt UPS(es) APC & CyperPower. I'm running PI OS (Raspbian) on a Raspberry Pi3 model B. The port 3493 is open (UFW). I can

I'll try either, as my last tries (1 year ago) to make an RPI4 a Samba

NUT server with multiple raspberry pi
Hello, I've been having trouble with configuring NUT in my home system.
First, I have NUT server installed in one raspberry with one UPS connected by USB to it, I followed Techno Tim's tutorial on the matter and it worked perfectly with the web GUI.
Then, I have another raspberry pi with two UPS connected by USB that I want to connect to the first so I use just one GUI, but I

illustration of graphics terms in R?
Hello,
I'm using R to do survey analysis and plotting. I've gotten good help on this
list to sort out specific plotting issues, but I think I could do a lot more
on my own if I could find a good reference that explained some of the graphics
terms and concepts used by R. I haven't found a general discussion of the
graphics environment, with illustrations. Part of my problem is that the

Dummy-ups cycles between online and onbatt every 5 minutes. (Nut 2.8.0)
Now that upsstats.cgi works, I've noticed that dummy-ups changes state every 5 minutes between OL and OB (probably when the 300 second timer expires). The UPS state stays online.
Also "online" and "onbatt" are broadcast to the console probably via WALL. (The state changes don't seem to be form the ups as upsshed-cmd doesn't run). Upssched-cmd does run when the UPS
