Good news
Time, not sure who owner is, but I've tried as both admin and myself, to no avail. ?However, I told you that mesg is y, buti tried to send a mesg using ?' write ' ?and it says I have messages disabled. ????? ? I did that by opening two?terminals, on I logged in as ' su ', and sent the message from there. ?Is that peculiar? Might account for why I am notgetting anything from

Tried 'echo hi | wall' and no message. ?I looked at 'wall -h' and it would seem that it is supposed to. ?I eventried ?' wall ?[<filename> | <message>] ' ?and got nothing. ? Not sure what that means, as when using theNUT-Monitor program I get banners and a 'message' on the system try. ? Strange !

No messages
Charles,
This is how I have the upsmon.conf set up. ?The only time I get a message is if the?NUT Monitor gui is running. ?I open LXterminal, pull the wall plug, and I get no messagesin the terminal.

Strange
I tested shutdown by pulling the plug from the wall socket and observed that I was notgetting any notifications. ?Then I opened the NUT Monitor GUI and immediately got notified.
What did I do wrong? ?I think that upsmon runs at startup so why do I have to open the GUI?in order to get messages? ?

Problem with quota
Samba version 4.8.7, running on a FreeBSD 12.0-RELEASE amd64 system with a
ZFS file system.
I have a Windows 10 machine configured to do automatic backups to my FreeBSD
machine on a daily basis. Since updating FreeBSD, the following errors are
displayed when the backup begins. This is a truncated list.

Ever since updating from FreeBSD 11 to FreeBSD 12, I have experienced a
problem with samba. While still on FreeBSD 11, I configured a Windows
10 machine to write backups of selected directories to my FreeBSD
machine. That worked perfectly. No problems were detected and
everything was backed up correctly. However, after updating to FreeBSD

Since updating both FreeBSD and Samba, I have been getting the
following screen pop-ups incessantly. They are always the same except
for the time. IP 102.168.0.102 is a Win10 PRO / amd64 machine. I never
received any warnings before updating.

JDF library in wine?
Hello all,
I wonder if there is a way to set up the so-called JDF library
required by several Adobe software? I haven't been able to find out
what it is, nor whether wine has any way to set this up, or even if I
can copy windows DLL's over.
I can get Adobe Acrobat 7.0 to run, for example, but many actions fail
with the error "cannot initialize JDF library".
Any enlightenment

unit tests executed for every page load ?
After I installed the very sweet file_column plugin I get strange output
on my html pages. At the very end I always get something like this:
"Loaded suite dispatch.cgi Started Finished in 0.000218 seconds. 0
tests, 0 assertions, 0 failures, 0 errors "
Seems like there is executed a non existent test suite for every page
load. Can anybody help me find the lines that force this

Centos 5 problems on Shuttle XPC
Hi,
does somebody else experience booting problems after normal installation on
SD32G2 based Shuttle systems. A CentOS 5.0 installation can be performed
without any problems but after the first reboot the systems are just stopping
the boot process after the grub is searching for the kernel. The last line is some-
thing like: [ Linux-initrd @ 0x37db8000, 0x237858 bytes].
