I did a yum update on my CentOS 6 laptop and it upgraded Firefox to 78, and FF stopped seeing my mic and speakers. Is there some magic I need to do? As a short term (?) fix, I downgraded back to Firefox 68. My system is otherwise up-to-date. -- Robert Heller -- Cell: 413-658-7953 GV: 978-633-5364 Deepwoods Software -- Custom Software Services http://www.deepsoft.com/ --

ghostscript update breaks evince
Today's ghostscript.x86_64 0:8.70-21.el6_8.1 update causes evince to refuse to display any postscript file. Running evince from a terminal session, I see the errors: invalidaccess -7 invalidaccess -7 invalidaccess -7 ** (evince:1252): WARNING **: Error rendering thumbnail Downgrading to ghostscript.x86_64 0:8.70-21.el6 corrects the problem. CentOS 7 + MATE : no sound in Firefox

Applications like Audacious, VLC or MPlayer have sound, but Firefox is mute. Any idea how I can fix that? Cheers, Niki -- Microlinux - Solutions informatiques durables 7, place de l'?glise - 30730

DirectSound hardware acceleration has been enabled a long time before using Hardy and has never caused any problems until now. Regularly the sound of a game/application completely drops until the

Sound Stutters and Sputters then dies
Hey Y'all, Recently my sound has been misbehaving. The issue exists when I play sound using Rhythmbox, Totem Movie Player, or even Youtube video in Firefox or Chrome. The sound stutters and drops out. Sounds very rough. On Youtube the sound will eventually just die and can not be restarted until the browser is shut down and restarted. I've had issues related to Repo Forge
