WINEPS.DRV built-in: How to fake out bad applications...?
I've been unable to get a [badly written] commercial application to get
past this app's insistence on finding WINEPS.DRV... it complains with
"NO DEFAULT PRINTER SELECTED" -- days of searching, reading, trying
every approach has me tearing my hair out. Worse, my knowledge of C is
ancient (circa 1970)...
Can anyone either suggest a patch or pointer to the best place to add

WINEPS insists on using LPT1:
I'm running Wine 20010305. I am using the WINEPS driver and trying to
direct it to various printers on various ports. It seems to output to
port LPT1 regardless of the port I specify in the registry and
win.ini.
Here is a simplified scenario, in which I define only one printer, on
LPT2.
Can any one tell me what is happening?
Follow-up question: Am I limited to 9 printers, on LPT1-LPT9?

Can only print to the default printer
I am not sure if I am experiencing a WINE bug (I have looked through the bug reports but can't see this particular problem mentioned) or if this is a current limitation of WINE...
I am using 64-bit Sabayon Linux (multilib) 2.6.36-sabayon kernel with CUPS 1.4.4-r2 and 32-bit WINE 1.3.4.
I have several printers configured in CUPS. With native Linux applications I can select from each

Unable to print with the Wine PS driver
I'm trying to get Wine to print through it's PS driver, without success, on a HP DeskJet 694C, configured on Linux with the cdj670 driver.
What I get to see on screen after I attempt to print are three windows with exclamation marks on a yellow triangle and garbled text. The
first window is titled "Printer name", the second "Device name", the third "Output".

Delphi applications printing bug
Hi,
I'm using Wine 0.9.27 and Ubuntu 6.06.
I've problems when printing from Delphi Apps that use QReport (the
default reporting engine for most Delphi versions), and after some
hacking I've perhaps isolated the trouble:
it seems that Delphi printing over a Canvas works only if I show the
system PrintDialog or the PrinterSetupDialog befor printing, and I
press OK in this dialog:

wineps
A word processor gives me an exception which is flagged as and ole problem
with a WINEPS driver.
I had wineps.dll and wineps16.dll on older fakewindows directories. I copies
to /usr/lib/wine, added as builtin. No change.
I had fixed this in the past, do not remember how. Any ideas?

Print to POS printer
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hello,
I've been searching teh web but I don't find a clear solution for this:
The program I am running needs to print a bill to a remote printer
(attached to a IBM NC 2200) compatible with EPSON TM-U210D. How can I
avoid the WINEPS.DRV? Can I use the driver that works fine in Windows
(tm300s.drv)?
Thanks a lot.

Printing with wine and cups doesn't work
Hi everybody,
my problem is the following:
I got a Debian sarge system with cups 1.2.1-3 and wine 0.9.15-1 as well
as a HP PSC1510 Printer/Scanner.
In the documentation about wine is written, that printing wouldn't be a
problem as everything is autoconfigured if you are using cups like I
do.
But all I get when trying to print from any application, is an
error-message in the log:

Newest WINE No Longer Runs
I have a Dell Laptop running Fedora 7. I bought this from "Emperor Linux" who configured the machine and shipped it to me ready-to-go.
I had successfully installed a few minor Windows applications and had them running under WINE. Since I began using Linux a few years ago, I have adopted the posture of doing periodic updates with yum.
Awhile ago, one such yum update installed WINE

Default Page Size
I've finally gotten wine (codeweavers) to work with my non-Windows
system. I can run Lotus Notes without many problems and can even print to
my postscript printer with WINEPS.DRV, but I need to remember to change
the page size from A4 to Letter each time I restart Notes (or any other
app). Is there a way to tell wine or WINEPS.DRV to default to Letter?
Thanks,
