ASPI support?
I've consulted the archives insofar as possible, but I can't ascertain the status of ASPI support in WINE. Basically, I'm trying to get CD/DVD Speed ( http://www.cdspeed2000.com/ ) to work, because thus far I'm not seeing any Linux tools that will do media testing (C1/C2 error rates and such). I *think* the only relevant entry is: "fixme:aspi:ASPI_ExecScsiCmd Failed"

Re: Problems with ImgBurn, err:aspi:ASPI_GetNumControllers
Well, I finally found something of a solution. It's not ideal, but that may be down to my distro or my unfamiliarity with "udisks". I have to unmount the udisks auto-mounted optical device and then manually mount that drive to /media/cdrom0 (or wherever). At which point I can start ImgBurn and change the Interface (Tools->Settings->I/O->Page1) to SPTI. The drive can then

Using ASPI with a pure IDE setup?
Hello everybody! I'm using Wine with EAC (Exact Audio Copy). So I setup my computer (kernel 2.6.12) with ide-scsi emulation. EAC works this way. But other native programs started making trouble. The biggest issue is that I can't write to CD/DVD anymore. I can write using ide-scsi in kernel 2.4 but in 2.6 it doesn't work anymore. Is there a possibility that aspi calls work with a pure

aspi error ASPI_ExecScsiCmd in Wine
Has anyone encountered the same problem: I want to read a special kind of floppies under Linux. These floppies can only be read by an USB floppy drive that is made by a company that also delivers a (Windows) program to read these floppies. It has a SCSI interface and it makes use of the aspi drivers. The aspi dll's are copied to the correct locations in Wine. Wine added 2 SCSI drives to the

Problems with ImgBurn, err:aspi:ASPI_GetNumControllers
I don't know exactly when, but something about my Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE) installation has changed that seems to have broken Wine when it comes to detecting ASPI devices, because I get the following error. Code: err:aspi:ASPI_GetNumControllers Could not open HKLM\L"HARDWARE\\DEVICEMAP\\Scsi" I tried searching the forums with the Forums -> Search for info about this

WINE ASPI support and my Polaroid SprintScan 35 Plus
I recently acquired one of these nice film scanners and have set about getting it to work under Linux+WINE (yes, I know about VueScan, but I need the finer controls offered by Polaroid's software). The last version of Windows I ever ran on my computer was 3.1, and I still have a working installation on a DOS partition. This scanner is old enough that Win3.1 drivers exist, and everything

is wine's ASPI suitable for firmware update?
Hi, I have a PHILIPS CD-RW/DVD-ROM SCB5265 and I have problems reading of some DVDs. I found two different firmware updates which contains .exe files: TD17 (5/1/2007): http://ftp.us.dell.com/rmsd/PHILIPS-SCB5265-TD17.zip TD19 (12/13/2005): http://ftp.us.dell.com/rmsd/SCB5265_fwTD19.zip If I set up the IDE SCSI emulation, the firmware updater can recognize my CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive. # rmmod ide-cd

Non-bootable PC after using ASPI via Wine
Many years ago I wrote a Windows program that needs a SCSI card. It addresses the SCSI card using ASPI. Unfortunately, when I run the app under Wine, I see some errors (all beginning with 'fixme:') which suggest that ASPI isn't yet fully implemented (and as such, the app doesn't work properly). However - much more worrying is the fact that after running this app I end up with a

ASPI problem
Having gotten WinOnCD to start (though the installer fails (*.msi file)) by copying the files and registry from a windows install, I now have an ASPI problem. I am able to erase a cdrw from within winoncd and most of winoncd works pretty much as it should (but no drag'n drop works). Writing a CD does however not work yet and it appears to be a winaspi problem: Here is part of the trace:
