Problem in the path for executables...
Hi, I have a windows executable which I am trying to run in Linux using wine. When I execute the command : wine {ABSOLUTE_PATH}/file1.exe, file1.exe runs many other executables internally, like file2.exe, file3.exe and file4.exe. Now when file1.exe is trying to run the other executables, it is not able to get the path of the executables. I have the "PATH" enironment variable set

Calling a .bat to set environment variables and subsequent .exe execution from within R
Dear list, I have found a thread dealing with similar problems with a Mac, but somehow I cannot get it to work and the problem is slightly different: I am using the shell() command to execute a program from within R. The problem is that I need to execute SDKShell.bat file first that sets the environment variables for the program ogr2ogr.exe: shell(cmd =

This post follows on from: http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-devel/2005-04/msg00185.html And is possibly related to the bug referenced here: http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do;:YfiG?bug_id=4335360 In summary: Java processes are doing odd things. 1) It appears that number values are mysteriously changing. e.g. if you look at the Hashtable error there is no way the

Currently no Java for Linux-Mozilla on 4-Stable?
Hey folks, I was trying to install a jvm for the linux-mozilla port on 4-stable. 4-stable of yesterday (updated) and all ports of yesterday except as indicated. I am through all of them, blackdown-1.3, blackdown-1.4.2, checked out the previous blackdown-1.4.1, Sun-1.3.1 and Sun-1.4.2. Most of them have incompatible C++ interfaces to the current linux-mozilla, except blackdown-1.4.2, which

installing maple 8 - Java error
I am trying to install my copy of maple 8 for windows, using wine in mandriva 2008.1. Apparently there is a difficulty with handling the java code for the installantion front-end. Below I report the log file showing the error. One curious thing is that I get very close to make wine run the maple 8 version I have already installed in a windows XP partition. The maple window correctly pops up, but

Trying to get Xilinx tools running
Hi All, I am new to wine and am trying to get the Xilinx ISE FPGA command line tools running. FYI these are gate array compiler tools for the hardware industry. Anyway, wine seems to be setup enough so that I can run notepad.exe and I also ran the Xilinx installer which only crashed at the very end when it was doing some device/usb installation, but it managed to copy all the files alright

Hello R users, I have encountered difficulty in attempting to load the package "rJava" for 64-bit R 2.14.1. It appears that the problem is specific (for my system) to this version of R. Executing bat file in Wine from bash shell
I run OS X, and I want to execute a bat file in Wine from within a shell script. Is there a way to do this? Can Wine accept a path to an executable/bat file as an argument? And can this be done without having to open and close Wine each time the build process is initiated? I'd like to use a currently running Wine instance, if there is one.
