I manage to use asterisk to dial to the gateway but have no idea how to send the pin number and destination number. This is due to asterisk only process the next ext only if dial app has terminated. Fax and dial-up connection issues
I have a pretty large setup on one of my customers. Digium TE420B (with echo cancelling module), 3 Xorcom Astribanks with 32 FXS each and 1 Xorcom Astribank with 16 FXO. These FXO ports are NOT used for fax/data transmission, as they are connected to cell phones. Not really related to the issue, but there are also 250 SIP phones. The problem is that fax and dial-up connections are really

Please help: domU becomes unresponsive
Hi all, sorry to intrude on xen-devel, but I think I need direction from the expertise here. I''ve admin''d Xen servers of various flavors for a couple years, but never seen this before. After a period ranging from several hours to several days, my primary database and development DomU completely locks up. Net disconnects, but CPU(sec) continues to tick in xentop. No errors, and

Cant get Asterisk server talk with IAX
Hi everyone, I am trying to connect 2 asterisk servers via IAX, but it just fails to do so.. I'm using SIP to connect the IP phones on the LAN at the 2 different physical locations where each server resides and I'm able to communicate on my LAN via SIP without any issues. The problem is that I'm unable to make Asterisk servers talk with each other via IAX.. Here is my issue.

dovecotpw/sql crypt scheme core dump with rc17-19
Platform is Solaris 8 on a 280R. I'm setting up a new installation of Dovecot, and I ran into some troubles that I've partly tracked down. I setup auth/user dbs with LDAP initially, and things worked well. Passwords are stored as "{crypt}zxcv..." in LDAP. I setup SQL, and began getting this: dovecot: Jan 23 16:37:47 Error: child 8718 (auth-worker) killed with signal 11

Photoshop "Disk Full" error, a linux filesystem NOT Samba issue
Hi all. Thought you would all be interested to know that i, like many others, am experiencing issues with Samba and Photoshop 7.0. The problem is specific to Photoshop 7.0 when saving files to a Samba share via a W2k/XP OS. Users experience a disk full error when saving from Photoshop but have no issues copying/moving etc files to/from the share outside of PS. Well, after some testing, the

Asterisk, IAX and NAT issue
Hi, I have two Asterisks identically installed on two computers. One of them is directly connected to the Internet, the other one through a NAT router (Netgear MR314). On the one behind the router I have an X100P card installed for PSTN connections. In the local LAN of each PBX they are several hardware IP phones (Cisco 7960 and 7940 with SIP images, firmware image P0S3-04-4-00.bin). I have

Hi there, Here are the facts: - I have samba 3.4.2-0.42.fc11 running on a Fedora 11 system. - Samba is acting as a domain controller, no Windows server involved. - I am using tdbsam. - I need to enforce certain password requirements. The password requirements are: - min 8 characters - expiration 90 days - last 10 passwords may not be reused - not a dictionary word Per the Samba 3.2 FAQ, the

Can anybody recommend a good T1/PRI provider ?
Are you looking for local or Long distance? What will these T1s primarily be used for(inbound/outbound, domestic, local, long distance, international) How important are per minute rates to you? how many minutes do you expect to use per month? We are in Tampa Florida and have 15 T1s from several different providers so I may be able to refer you to one if it's a match to what you're

Unable to create channel of type 'IAX2'
Hi all, I'm a newbie and I have a configuration problem with Asterisk. Seems that I'm not able to call an outbound number. I'm quite sure that it is a configuration problem, but I'm not able to find out where is the mistake, even reading several docs to www.voip-info.org. I do not have a good knowledge of Asterisk, I'm not very familiar with its configuration and I've a

kjournald hang on ext3 to ext3 copy
All, I am running into a situation in which one of my ext3 filesystems is getting hung during normal usage. There are three ext3 filesystems on a CompactFLASH. One is mounted as / and one as /tmp. In my test, I am copying a 100 MB file from /root to /tmp repeatedly. While doing this test, I eventually see the copying stop, and any attempts to access /tmp fail - if I even do ls /tmp the

Funny current debian service files use a wrong PIDFile path (should be /var/run/amba/samba.pid). If I use Type=forking and an wrong PIDFile systemctl start samba must be CTRL-C'ed. Forcing a codec
Hi, I'm having trouble explicitly forcing a codec between sip devices. Am I missing something or is this not really possible? I have a grandstream registering to asterisk, named sip0. Sip0 registers, via sip, to another asterisk box, sip1. When I place a call from the grandstream, it will travel through sip0 to sip1, where it is then placed to the PSTN. Nothing can reinvite, this path is

Call "stuck" in queue
Asterisk 11.1.0 One queue with strategy=leastrecent. (Full queues.conf below.) Occasionally (several times today), a caller will get "stuck" in the queue - there are operators available to take the call, but the caller stays in the queue for a long time. Any idea what might cause this, or where I can start looking to debug it? I'm going to start digging through the queue log
