tel URI
Hi list,
Using Asterisk 16.1.1, with PJSIP, I'm asked to build a SIP trunk to a
system that uses exclusively tel: uri on inbound and outbound calls. I
could not find documentation or sample config about tel:uri. Is this
doable? If not possible with PJSIP, is chan_sip a better option? Any
pointer would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Asterisk Usage Survey
Hello Jean-Denis.
I believe the idea is that you answer the survey for each type of scenarios
you are running.
So one for call centre, another one for ivr, etc...

Hi list,
2 weks ago I asked questions about PJSIP and T.38 but got no replies. I
upgraded Asterisk to git as of yesterday (309dd2a), and I'm still having
the same issues.
In the trace below, I'm sending a fax from Hylafax server through
iaxmodem on Asterisk-13 (tiare) to a second Asterisk (11.18.0 t0gw)

Can you be more specific? They are identical and the same tarball. I just
downloaded both from each place and confirmed that, and confirmed they both
extract fine.

ARI libraries?
Up till now, I have only used Asterisk versions 1.2, 10 and 11, on CentOS
4, 5 and 6, and have made extensive use of AMI and FastAGI connections to a
multi-threaded backend written in C.
For a new project, I am looking at trying Asterisk 16 with ARI, on CentOS 7.
I was looking at the various ARI libraries available, particularly the
ones for Python and Node.js in github.
I noticed that the

Compile Asterisk without CPU specific extensions/optimizations
I'm compiling an Asterisk system on a ESXi VM with recent CPU, but will
deploy onto an old ESXi VM with older CPU.
Is it possible to configure Asterisk to NOT use CPU specific
instructions/optimizations so that the executable is portable?
Thanks

Can't find uuid!
Hello Asterisk,
New install.
Current Fedora server.
Current Asterisk V16
Installed everything necessary to run configure including uuid and uuid-devel.
I know everything but uuid works as I commented out the uuid test and configure finished.
Make fails with uuid/uuid.h not found.
uuid/uuid.h is not there, but uuid.h is there.
Tried changing <uuid/uuid,h> to <uuid.h> in uuid.c

Iridium integration / gateway
Hi list,
I have a request to integrate Iridium in a Asterisk system. A quick
search didn't return much: I expected to find products similar to GSM
gateways, but this does not seem to exist. so I'd be very interested
about possible solutions. Has it be done already, how?
Thanks,

Outgoing PJSIP using Kamailio
Hello,
We have a provider which is using Kamailio as front end. Our asterisk

form this provider.
Now we want to move to asterisk 16/pjsip and face problem. Registration
is OK but when we pass a call our INVITE never receive answer from the
provider. We opened a ticket to their support but in the mean time we

Digium B410P, bristuff and BRI support in 1.6
Hi,
Is it possible to both use Digium B410P and bristuff'ed 1.4 Asterisk, now ?
I've heard BRI support in Asterisk is about to change with 1.6 but I'm not
sure I understood what the plan is.
If someone has a clue, l would delighted to learn about it.
Cheers
