AMI not responding correctly
I am communicating with Asterisk 13.18.3 over the AMI and issue the command: ActionID: 11 Action: command Command: core show calls And the response I get is: Response: Follows Privilege: Command ActionID: 11 --END COMMAND- But where is the call data? What is going wrong on this system? I confirmed the AMI connection has full read/write permissions. Why is the call data

AMI column widths
Hi. I'm trying to get a list of the channels currently in use on an Asterisk server (1.8.32.1 if it matters) over AMI. I send the command "sip show channels", and I get back a response along the lines of (* used to protect the innocent...): Peer User/ANR Call ID Format Hold Last Message Expiry Peer *8.22.*0.34 02035644444

Hi, Can you show as the config of eno4? And can you diff the config of eno1 and eno4. Looks like there is a difference somewhere. Regards, Simon > > > This server is equipped with four nics

AMI manager logins - omitting from logging output?
Hi. Is there any way to eliminate AMI manager logins from the logging output (without just turning the log level down and thereby losing lots of other stuff as well)? I'm running Asterisk 13.14.1 as a backend service to LVS/IPVS, and using the AMI login as the "service alive" check to see which backend servers are available to take new commands. This results in lots of [Jun

AMI vs. Dialplan Originate
Hi. (Asterisk 16.2.1) I'm using AMI Originate to initiate calls, and I'm passing some additional data in to the dialplan context using the Variable: parameter. Works fine. https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Asterisk+16+ManagerAction_Originate Now I need to do the same thing but from another context in my dialplan, so I was expecting to use the Originate() dialplan command,

nmcli: unwanted secondary ip-address
Dear CentOS-Community, we are facing the following issue: A secondary ip address seems to be automatically added to a nic which causes several issues in our setup. This server is equipped with four nics which are currently in use: # nmcli con show NAME????? UUID????????????????????????????????? TYPE????? DEVICE eno2????? cb6fcb54-be52-4ab6-8324-88091a0ea1a0? ethernet? eno2 eno4?????

Adding custom commands to AMI
Hi. https://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+manager+API says that "There are a finite (but extendable) set of actions available to the client, determined by the modules presently loaded in the Asterisk engine." Can anyone point me at some appropriate documentation for adding custom commands to the AMI to extend the available actions? Thanks, Antony. -- This sentence

Message: Authentication failed on manager interface
I'm not sure how much more simple I can make this but I just cannot seem to get my Asterisk 13 to accept a connection on the manager interface: --- manager.conf --- [general] enabled = yes port = 5038 bindaddr = 127.0.0.1 [myasterisk] secret=a permit=0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 read = all write = all So, couldn't be any more wide open and simpler to connect yet: # echo -e "Action:

Any api (agi/ari/ami) equivalent of "core show calls"?
Way back in the mists of time, I built my asterisk installation with SNMP support. It's a bit tedious to get the sub-agent for snmpd set up but once you have it you can poll the OID for the asterisk sub-agent and it will tell you how many calls are up at that moment in time. That said, I actually prefer ARA/ARI to flat file configuration of endpoints and dialplans.  Changes are more or less

Problems with AMI connections (Asterisk 1.8.3.2)
Hi guys, I hope you could help me. I am trying to get connected through AMI but something is not working. Both php code and manager.conf were working well in asterisk 1.4 1. Sometimes it gets connected and sometimes it doesn't: == Connect attempt from '192.168.25.241' unable to authenticate == Connect attempt from '192.168.25.241' unable to authenticate == Manager

Login by AMI ok, by AJAM fails
I have setup an Ast 11.6 host and I want to login via AJAM. I setup manager.conf, http.conf described in the docs. When I login via the AMI it works fine (see below), but when I login via AJAM the same credentials fail (see further down) Can someone tell me how to fix this? ----------- Connection closed by foreign host. root at pbx:/tmp# telnet localhost 5038 Trying 127.0.0.1... Send message to AMI from dialplan
Is it possible to simply send a message to appear as an AMI message/event, from the dialplan? For example exten =>123,1,ami(myEvent, param1, param2) and in the AMI a message appears like: Event: myEvent Privilege: call, all Channel: PJSIP/misspiggy-00000001 Uniqueid: 1368479157.3 ChannelState: 3 ChannelStateDesc: Up CallerIDNum: 657-5309 CallerIDName: Miss Piggy

AW: debian 10, vm cant connect to the host bridge
I should have what i want to achive. The server is intended as a host for VMs. Our network has multiple VLANs, and the VMs will be connected to different VLANS. The interface eno1 is for host traffic and eno2 is connected to the trunk port of the switch, making the different VLANS availabel to the VMs via the br0. I want to use a VLAN-aware br0, so that I specify in my VM config (on the host

AW: debian 10, vm cant connect to the host bridge
someone recommended that i should give br0 the same hardware address as eno2. I did that, and restarted the vm, and it still does not work. Here is my current host interface config: ip a 1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN group default qlen 1000 link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00 inet 127.0.0.1/8 scope host lo valid_lft

AMI mulitple calls quickly
Lets say I have to make 40 phone calls quickly. If I use the AMI interface to originate a call, close the connection, open another connection etc... This works. but is slow... If I open the AMI interface and originate a call - DONT close the interface , get the response, originate another call, some of the calls are missed. even though I get OK response. (All calls are Async mode). If I open

To Asterisk AMI Gurus - Tacking issue with originate
Hello Everyone, I am making a simple index.php file which will allow a web user to enter his $phoneNumb, $dialNumb, and callerID ($spoofNumb) and get the call bridged. Following is the index.php and the contents of extensions_custom.conf. When I submit the form nothing happens. I don't even see Manager Connected msg. Your input will be much appreciated. I am thinking I have some syntax

network-bridge called three times
Hello All, I'm trying to figure out why xen-utils-common 3.2 doesn't suport bridging on multiple interfaces. I've been digging around /etc/xen/scripts/network-bridges. And modified it so that during boot, when executed the script writes into /tmp/netbr file, but I commented out code that actually creates bridges. I discovered that this script is called three times during boot, I
