Reproducible ReInvites sent by UAS after exactly 900s despite session-timers=refuse
Hello! I'm facing ReInvites as caller from UAS despite configured session-timers=refuse (which can be seen in the SIP trace) always after 900s. (The behavior is the same if session-timers is set to accept). This just happens with one provider (German Telekom to callee at kabelbw). - The incoming ReInvite is answered immediately by asterisk (Status 100 / Status 200 - 0.02s). Media stream

Asterisk put call on hold when receive 183 Session Progress with media address 0.0.0.0 in SDP
Hi Is it a normal behavior of Asterisk put a call on hold when receive a Session Progress with media address 0.0.0.0 in SDP? I believe the call on hold should be initiate with a re-invite. Thanks -- Att, Rafael Saraiva -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

PJSIP reInvite
Hi all, So the scenario is: A -> Asterisk -> B after B send back 200 OK Asterisk is answering the call to A. Directly after the Answer Asterisk generates a ReInvite to A and the only difference between the 200 OK sdp and the reInvite sdp are the offered codecs which are forwarded from B to A. Here i do not understand why this could not be done in the 200OK to A? As far as i understood

PJSIP reInvite
Hi All, We are using asterisk 16.5 and having an issue with the first re-invite after the call has been established. We can see the call gets up and you see in the logs the bridge type has changed and after that a re-invite is triggered. Is there any possibility to deactivate this kind of reInvite? We have some race conditions while have multiple asterisk in the call flow and the different

asterisk tries reinvite when incompatible codecs on call legs
Hi, I just ran into what seems to be an issue on re-invites. I'm not sure if it's a bug or as designed, so I thought I'd ask the question. Here's my setup: - Asterisk 1.8.13.0 - Phone A: Polycom ip331, only allowed to use ulaw, canreinvite=yes - Phone B: Polycom ip330, only allowed to use alaw, canreinvite=yes Phone A calls the extension of phone B. T38 REINVITe issue
Hi My call flow is T38 static IP gateway --> Asterisk --> Sip Provider--> PSTN Call is placed in reverse direction - from PSTN to T38 Gateway. T38 GW reinvites with T38, and asterisk passes it along to the SIP provider. The SIP provider challenges it and asterisk reponds to the Challenge with INVITE with Auth credentials...however, the Asterisk changes the SDP and replaces the T38

Weird Can-Reinvite problem
Hi All, I'm having a really weird can reinvite issue. I've been banging my head around on this for days now.. I have two asterisk servers. One at 172.20.0.11 One at 172.20.2.5 172.20.0.11 is a hosted box and serves multiple offices 172.20.2.5 is a box on site at a customer's office. A phone at 172.20.128.10 makes a call using server 172.20.0.11 to a phone at 172.20.2.80 via server

asterisk not sending ACK after reinvite
Hi, I am faced with this dilema of asterisk not sending an ACK after it receives 200 OK from OpenSER (which is a response to a reinvite request sent by asterisk. Here is my setup Carrier<->OpenSER<->Asterisk1<->Asterisk2 A user is connected with Asterisk1 (through the carrier and OpenSER). On certain dtmf events the call is forwarded to Asterisk2 using the Dial command.

Disabling Music On Hold
Hello, I have been trying to completely disable music on hold on my asterisk system. When a call is put on hold I do not want any music on hold, but I would like the remote user to get informed of this event (depending on the technology e.g. with a SIP reinvite and an SDP indicating the call is on hold). I have searched and tried out various approaches, but when putting the call on hold

Asterisk as UAC: How to put call OnHold
Hi! Maybe I am missing something or am a little blind at the moment, but I didn't find out how asterisk can place a call on hold when acting as user agent client to another SIP server. Scenario: ---------- Asterisk registers to another SIP server (provider) as user agent. An inbound call from this other SIP server comes in and arrives at asterisk. Asterisk performs some actions in the

Problem with call hold
I got a very strange problem with call-hold function. For calls that come in from PSTN and route to a SIP extension. If I put the call on hold, I cannot unhold the call after. The caller would be left with hold music forever. A warning message would be shown on the console usually a few seconds after putting the call on hold: WARNING[17428]: chan_sip.c:686 retrans_pkt: Maximum retries

R: Asterisk and Call Hold
Hi All, I have a problem with asterisk and call hold. In the re-invite package when I take the call to the hold, the SDP value "a=sendrecv" is present, according to the rfc3264 the sdp value a must be mark with "sendonly". I've already tried with Asterisk 1.8 and Asterisk 11, but there is the same problem. I've already read all the information about canreinvite and

Asterisk 11.5 not honoring RTP port change in RE-INVITE
I have an Asterisk 11.5 system, using SIP Realtime and operating as a ITSP. One of my customer's endpoints is a NetVanta 7100 PBX system that has a SIP trunk connection to my Asterisk box. The NV 7100 has a public IP on it that doesn't have any NAT between it and my Asterisk system. When the customer transfers a call from one handset to a voicemail box, the NV 7100 sends a RE-INVITE to

SIP rtp port forcing
When a SIP call starts (INVITE / 200 OK), asterisk seems to create a random port number for voice (rtp) packets. Is it possible to force this port value (without using reinvite since i am trying to use SIP against something else than sip) thanks a lot in advance -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
