Non-matching linkedid on CDR Records [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]
Hi all, Just thought I'd update this thread in case anyone else is Googling trying to find out how to do this... I found the solution to my problem to be to use the IAXVAR() function to pass the accountcode between the Asterisk boxen and update the CHANNEL(accountcode) with that variable. Thanks to Richard @ Digium for the reply that clarified my misunderstanding. Calum On Wed, 2018-10-03

Live migrate with virsh migrate
When I migrate a guest from svr1 to svr2 and shutdown the guest on svr2. I cannot start it anymore because the xml is not there. How can I make sure this xml is automatically stored so I can start the guest again on svr2?

Local lmtp proxy on backend server
Hi Aki, If I adapt this configuration on svr1 like this[0], should the mail not be delivered at svr2 passdb { driver = pam # [session=yes] [setcred=yes] [failure_show_msg=yes] [max_requests=<n>] # [cache_key=<key>] [<service name>] #args = dovecot default_fields = proxy=y host=svr2 } passdb { driver = passwd skip = authenticated default_fields = proxy=y

Hi Aki, you have some ingenious remark that could help? -----Original Message----- To: aki.tuomi; dovecot Subject: RE: Local lmtp proxy on backend server I am staring constantly at the same logs, this is what I get from dovecot[1]. Local lmtp proxy on backend server
I receive a local mail when I do a 'mail test' on a backend svr1 with this[0] configuration. However when I just add only one configuration change 'lmtp_proxy = yes' I am getting these errors[1]. I would expect this email to still be delivered locally, should this be working or do I misunderstand the lmtp proxy functionality? [0] passdb { args = auth_verbose = default

scp via another server
I normally use ssh to log into a remote server, change directory and then use scp from there to copy files from another remote server to the first one. Now the first server has been hit by continuous error correction messages from the ECC controller, all of which are corrected, and I am unable to get a command line to issue the required commands to change directory and then run scp from the other

Domain XML Multicast Tunnel
Hello I found under networking in the Domain XML 'Multcast tunnel'. My question is does anyone know what is the intended use of multicast tunnel networking? What are the potential pitfalls of using such a configuration other than what's highlighted in the domain xml. eg: can it suffer from throughput issues? Can the tunnel be accessed from outside Libvirt? I'm struggling to find any

Unable to reregister samba server with Primary Domain Controller
Please forgive any stupidity in the following question. The admin who maintained samba left recently and we (a bunch of programmers) are trying to fix it. We had a Solaris box called svr2, it provided samba and nfs services. We bought a new computer called originally newsvr2. We ported the samba settings across to newsvr2 - everything worked. We swapped the hostname and IP addresses of svr2 and

Local lmtp proxy on backend server
Hi Aki, I also tried with changing the original ldap source to svr2. Although everywhere svr2 is configured, still mails keep being delivered locally on svr1. Do I need to configure more than 20-lmtp.conf? [@svr1 conf.d]# cat 20-lmtp.conf | grep -v '^#' lmtp_proxy = yes protocol lmtp { # Space separated list of plugins to load (default is global mail_plugins). mail_plugins

AMI potential memory leak
HI Matt, I am trying to replicate this particular problem. We are seeing more frequently where the Event: AsyncAGIExec is never being sent. The two scenarios I have seen in tests yesterday and today... We sendl an AMI action. For example, play a short file or hangup. AMI Events will indicate it did the work, but we never receive the Event: AsyncAGIExec with a result at all. Asterisk debug

CDR Rewrite -- Questions to the users
Hello! Most are probably bored seeing another letter about this, but I've put in a fair amount work on a spec for rewriting the CDR system in Asterisk, and I have some questions: First, please look at what I've written so far: svn co http://svn.digium.com/svn/asterisk/team/murf/RFCs and look at the file "CDRfix2.rfc.txt" in the RFCs dir. The spec SIGNIFICANTLY alters the way

sudden loss of password validation
The problem: Strangely, the PDC rejects user password challenges from Samba. The user account gets locked. After unlocking the account, everything is back to normal. This happens several times a day to different users and from different Samba servers. All Samba servers have the same [global] configuration. Is this a Samba problem? Is samba perhaps not passing along the correct password? If I add

"CBAnn" channel not going away in Asterisk 12

CDR dst value null after attended transfer
I'm having an issue with CDR. Basically, I expect to have all "legs" of a call having the same linkedid and differing only by the sequence value. That does happen, but I'm getting null dst values after doing an attended transfer. I'm not sure if this is a bug or I'm doing something wrong. I'm running Asterisk 13.2.0. Here's the console log, step by step: First,
