AMI not responding correctly
I am communicating with Asterisk 13.18.3 over the AMI and issue the command:
ActionID: 11
Action: command
Command: core show calls
And the response I get is:
Response: Follows
Privilege: Command
ActionID: 11
--END COMMAND-
But where is the call data? What is going wrong on this system? I
confirmed the AMI connection has full read/write permissions. Why is the
call data

Dial an extension to modify dialplan
Hello
I have the following scenario:
[mynicecontext]
exten => 2000,1,Dial(SIP/deviceA&SIP/deviceB&SIP/deviceC)
As expected, by dialing 2000, all three devices will ring. And that's
fine.
However, there are situations where I only want "deviceA" and "deviceB"
to ring. I would like to have an extension to dial in order to modify
the dialplan.
Here is what I

Converting asterisk h264 recordings
Hello,
We are setting up an asterisk system for voicemail with video possibilities.
We are not using the voicemail app, but rather writing our own dialplan
logic. The part of recording, and replaying, the voicemail works, and we
receive both an h264 and an wav-file. What I now wonder is how to convert
these into one file playable by a (standard) media player. I have not found
any real good

How to compute the density of a variable that follows a proportional error distribution
Hello,
I am trying to compute the density of a variable k that is either (1)
Normally distributed; (2) Log-Normally distributed; or (3) follows
proportional error distribution. I tried to search R-help and the answer for
normal distribution was easy to find (please see 1c). I am not sure if my
formula for dlnorm is correct (please see 2c below)? I really don't know

fixes for quota support on NetBSD
Hi!
dovecot-2.2.13 already has quota support for NetBSD, but it's buggy.
The attached patches by Manuel Bouyer <bouyer at NetBSD.org> fix the
issues.
There is one thing that's not nice in them: one include is now for
"/usr/include/quota.h" since dovecot comes with its own file "quota.h"
which is earlier in the search path. Perhaps dovecot's copy can be

Theora vs MPEG vs H264
Hi all,
I have to compare the theora codec with MPEG and H264.
I was googling and I found that the PSNR is a common used parameter.
How can I do this with Theora?
Thanks

deSolve question
Dear All,
I like to simulate a physiologically based pharmacokinetics model using R
but am having a problem with the daspk routine.
The same problem has been implemented in Berkeley madonna and Winbugs so
that I know that it is working. However, with daspk it is not, and the
numbers are everywhere!
Please see the following and let me know if I am missing something...
Thanks a lot in advance,

Spontaneous reboot due to MySQL lookups ?
Hello
using Asterisk 1.8.32.
I notice that there is a spontaneous reboot of the Asterisk system from
time to time.
When I look in the logs (verbose file) I noticed that every time this
occurs it's at a moment that there is a MySQL action, be it a lookup or
an insert/update/delete.
I must say I do have some MySQL queries that occur in my dialplan when a
call comes in, to look up

Asterisk 13.26.0 webRTC: Asterisk not passing along video
Hello
I am trying to set up webRTC video calls from my Chrome webbrowser
(Fedora) to my Chrome webbrowser (Windows 10).
There is local video input (I can see myself), but never video on the
receiving side.
This is the case in both directions (so it makes no difference which
peer is calling which peer).
Both webRTC SIP peers have opus and H264 codec in their peer definition :

Asterisk 13.2.0 Video issues
I recently compiled asterisk 13.2.0 on an RK3288 , I am suspecting problems
with the format H264, Asterisk 12.8.1 compiled on the same hardware is
behaving very well for the same format H264
Problem of asterisk 12.8.1 is IAX2 trunk bad voice quality.
Could someone investigate the problem of Asterisk 13 with video support on
H264 ?
Thank you.

You can try the following and see if it helps

Auto video call hangup
Hi,
I use a simple scheme:
SIP video phone A (h264/Asterisk 1.8.11) <---IAX2 trunk----> SIP video
phone B (h264/Asterisk 11.7.0)
When calls from A to B and vice versa drop on pickup.

Stream HD video
I agree I have not seen any H264 streaming info for icecast2.
If you are however interested in using ogg/vorbis (Theora) look up Theora
Streaming Studio in the Theora Cookbook and it will give you some info.
Additionally if you wish to script this task you can look up the info on the
three commands TSS wraps, specifically dvgrab/ffmpeg2theora/oggfwd. if your
source file is in a h264 medium you

Bad news from Google
Google has just made [1] the probably largest amount of internet video
available with HTML5 and h264. Thats really bad news. If somthing else
doesn't happen soon, h264 will be the de-facto standard by end of the
year.
And they even dare say:
"We are very excited about HTML5 as an open standard and want to be part
of moving HTML5 forward on the web."
