Mouse button swapping
Wine gets the left and right mouse buttons backwards anytime after the
mouse has hovered over the ruler widget in Word97 (the widget between
the text area and the tool bar). After the hover the left mouse
button does what the right mouse button should and vise versa. After
the switch (which is only known to be triggered by Word) any
application launched in Wine shows this behaviour but not

odd problem with mouse-button-1
Hi,
I'm using a program (Vensim-PLE from Ventana) that has a graphics work area
and some menus on some task bars. I'm running:
$ wine --version
Wine 20040615
And the latest version of the Windows program on a reasonably recent Linux
kernel (2.4.12-15).
My problem is when I try to use mouse-button-1 to select an item in the
graphics window, I get this WINPOS_GetWinOffset error and

sine wine 1.0RC1: 4th mouse button doesn't work
Hey,
since 1.0RC1 my 4th mouse button on my logitech G5 doesn't work anymore...all games that I've (BF2, Bf1942, CS:S, F.E.A.R) doesn't react when I press the 4th button...what is that for a bug?
And why it haven't been fixed already? (I don't find a bug at bugzilla for this...but I don't think that I'm the only one with that problem)

Weatherscope mouse button issues
Hi,
Can anyone help me diagnose some issues with mouse button events in
Weatherscope? (http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3077) It's a
really annoying bug, as anytime you right click on an entry to open the
properties dialog, when the dialog opens, the program thinks you are
still holding down the mouse button. This triggers the
drag-and-dropping support to reorder items, instead

Returning position of mouse cursor (without button press) ?
I would like a function that return the X,Y position of the mouse cursor
whenever it is called PERIOD, i.e., without the button presses of locator()
or identify().
E.G.,
> where.is.mouse()
[1] 123 34 # X and Y coordinates of present mouse position in current
graphics window
Is this a conceivable R function or does it need to be addressed with a call
to the OS (Windows 2000 in my case)?

[wow 4.0.1] bad mouse binding
Hi there.
I play Wow for a while now, but I've a little problem with my mouse buttons (it's a Logitech G500).
I explain: my mouse wheel can go on the right & on the left, it makes two more buttons to bind. But my left click "wheel" is the same than my button n?4 in World of Warcraft, so I cannot really use it.
On Gentoo Linux (AMD64), the two buttons don't do the same

gWidgets: how to remove that is box drawn when moving the mouse with pressed button
Hi,
how can I omit the box drawn from the starting position to the current position
of the mouse when clicking and it over a GTK graphics object?
I have seen that in the 'playwith' package the box changes to an arrow when
using the 'pan' button. But I do not find the corresponding line in the code to implement that.

Right mouse button leads to a crash
Hi guys!
Maybe I found a very annoying bug: by holding the ALT key and clicking
(anywhere) with the right mouse button, Compiz crashes.
I found this bug (or a **very**strange behavior?) by accident... ;)
I tried many times, and always Compiz to crashed.
Here's my machine configuration:
[start]
OS: Ubuntu 6.10 "Edgy Eft"
GNOME: v2.16.x
Compiz: v0.3.6 (repository gandalfn, with

Mouse problems in Dungeons and Dragons Online (DDO)
Since version 1.3.20, and in versions since, mouse movement has been erratic in Dungeons and Dragons Online.
I was waiting for some of the major mouse bugs to be fixed before commenting and that seems to have occurred, so I thought I would chime in.
About my system: MacBook Pro 2 GHz Core Duo, with ATI X1600 graphics, Mac OS X 10.6.8, Xquartz 2.6.2 (xorg-server 1.10.1), installed wine via

Edge + Mouse button draft patches
Attached are my draft patches to add edge + mouse button to the
actions
It is useful because the edge bindings are too easily triggered, an edge +
mouse button is good because it confirms the action. An additional side
benefit is that the mouse wheel can be used for rotating the cube and for
the switcher (it is an excellent alternative to alt-tab).
I wanted to share the patches before cleaning

Keyboard stops working after any mouse click
Here's a rundown of versions, in case any of it is important:
Wine: 1.3.21
Kernel: 2.6.39 (Gentoo r1)
X.Org X server: 1.10.2
Window manager: musca (0.9.24)
I'm using the default xorg.conf settings.
When I run any program in wine (notepad, for example), the keyboard stops working after I click the mouse. I can type to my heart's content as long as I don't use the mouse.
However,

Even more contraptions + hardy + Wine 0.9.59 mouse problem
First of all, all other games and software work perfectly in Wine.
I installed Sierra's The incredible machine - even more contraptions, which installed fine. No complaints or anything. The game started up nicely and everything seems to work fine, but my mouse buttons do not work at all. It does no register any clicks of my mouse, but I can move around the menus by moving the mouse over a

Specific Font with wine
Hi !
I run Wine 20050211 on RedHat 9. I would like run an application which
use 4 specific fonts (.FON under windows).
I read the manual (winehq.org/site/docs/wine-user/config-fonts-main) and
follow the instructions. But it seems not working ...
1. I convert .fon files to .bdf and to .pcf. I moved the .pcf files to
/usr/lib/X11/fonts/misc. I'm not sure here to have correct files because

mouse problems [A4 Tech OP-3D]
After some poking into psm.c code I've got some results.
First, for the archives, debug.psm.loglevel tunable is much more useful
than a verbose boot for debugging PS/2 mouse issues. A good value is 2.
Second, I fiddled with various probe methods to force them to
"recognize" my mouse (by loosening their checks) and found out that the
mouse works perfectly if it is treated as

Mouse cursor disappears while moving in Wine window
Hi all!
Using 64-bit Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope and Wine 1.1.23. Until a week ago, everything worked fine for me, but from that on mouse cursor started disappearing when moving in Wine window. More precisely, it turns "invisible". It still works, but I can't see the cursor. I believe no systemwide changes were made to the system (the user doesn't add apps by herself nor uses

Mouse click works in some parts and not others
I am new to winehq.
I want to use it to run a program called Bestcase but it is not
working. Do I just have to wait for something to happen to fix it or
for someone to care enough about Bestcase to change wine so that it runs
Bestcase? Is there something that I can do to possibly make it work?
What are the steps required to get this program working under wine? I
don't know what the

Enhancing the mouse support
I've been looking around for info on how to enhance the mouse support in
a newly installed CentOS5 system and all I've managed so far is to get
more confused.
It seems that the "evdev" driver is a necessary tool but to compile that
requires an xorg SDK which I can't even find. I've probably used up
more than my fair share of Google searches for the weekend on this
