I'm reading the O'Reilly "Asterisk the definitive guide", 4th ed, with a starfish on it. In some ways, astonishing that it's not really that definitive, it's more general -- and it only clocks in at one ream of paper! In any event, I'm having some port problems on my home network: http://security.stackexchange.com/questions/81752/ I need to open ports for

compilation issues
There's some compilation issues on Solaris with the native compilers with the current CVS head. OGGENC: ======= -- "oggenc.c", line 202: warning: improper pointer/integer combination: op "=" I believe the problem here is that rindex() is prototyped in <strings.h>, which is not included. This may be a sun-specific thing. OGG123: ======= -- "ogg123.c",

FreeBSD ipsec and NAT
Hi All, I currently have setup a site to site vpn using racoon on my freebsd firewall. All is well there and I can connect through the vpn when I am on the firewall and get the connection fine. Now I want to be able to connect from other machines through the firewall - this is where I come unstuck, the ipsec policy allows for my external address range to connect through the vpn, but then I would

[LLVMdev] Proposed implementation of N3333 hashing interfaces for LLVM (and possible libc++)
Hello folks, TL;DR: This is my proposed hashing interface based on a proposed standard hashing interface. It also is implemented with a much faster and higher quality algorithm than the current one. This is an *early draft* of the code, looking for initial feedback. There has been recent interest in improving the quality and consistency of LLVM's approach to hashing. In particular, getting

Is there a function to interdigitate two columns?
Hello List Inhabitants: I don?t know what this operation is called or if there is a function that does it automatically, hence I seek your help! If I divide a large data collection tasks between two students, and I have a master list of samples, but one student records some of the values, and the other student the remainder, I need to get the two sets of student measurements into one column.

Re: speex 1.1.4 compile fails/vq.h parse error
It's not really documented, but when you compile with --enable-sse, you need to add -march=pentium3 to the compile switches. That's actually a gcc requirement. Row-by-row regression on matrix
Folks, I have a 3000 x 4 matrix (y), which I need to regress row-by-row against a 4-vector (x) to create a matrix lm.y of intercepts and slopes. To illustrate: y <- matrix(rnorm(12000), ncol = 4) x <- c(1/12, 3/12, 6/12, 1) system.time(lm.y <- t(apply(y, 1, function(z) lm(z ~ x)$coefficient))) [1] 44.72 18.00 69.52 NA NA Takes more than a minute to do (and I need to do many

[LLVMdev] [llvm-commits] [PATCH] BasicBlock Autovectorization Pass
Ralf, et al., Attached is the latest version of my autovectorization patch. llvmdev has been CC'd (as had been suggested to me); this e-mail contains additional benchmark results. First, these are preliminary results because I did not do the things necessary to make them real (explicitly quiet the machine, bind the processes to one cpu, etc.). But they should be good enough for discussion.
