Hello, I try to find informations concerning Mixmonitor command, but ... without success. MixMonitor command take at last parameter "command". This command can be a shell script. When record is over, and this command executed, asterisk wait for a return code or asterisk move to the next dialplan instruction ? This command is a background task or use ressources in asterisk ? Recommendations for free virtual server tech and Asterisk?
If you want to use dahdi dummy driver inside asterisk for timer then this is possible with openvz based container virtualization. We have tested vicidial in this mode for 5-10 agents and it worked well. Recommendations for free virtual server tech and Asterisk?
What is the best virtual server tech (and most stable, etc) to use for a asterisk virtual hosting environment? I have a client that wants to do virtual hosting of Asterisk (only SIP or IAX, no PRI, etc) and I'm wondering if Xen or something else would be best? We'd like to stay away from the costs of VMWare if possible. Thanks! Travis -------------- next part -------------- An HTML

Samba PDC - BDC | Cluster Filesystem beetwen two buildings
Hi guys, I'm new to this list. My implementation need a share point on the PDC replicated on the BDC and viceversa. This is a clustered filesystem over a slow (~1Mb) ethernet choice. I know this is not a really Samba related, but I wish someone else on this mailing have had my same needs.. Thanks Michele Castigliego

[sieve] extracting address behavior changes beetwen 2.2.13 and 2.2.16
Hi all! After upgrading dovecot from 2.2.13 to 2.2.16 I noticed that my sieve filters doesn't catch some emails. I used sieve-test with tracing (it's great tool!) and I can see as below: part of sieve filter: [...] elsif address :is "From" "backup at areda.pl" { [...] dovecot-2.2.13: 36: address test 36: starting `:is' match with `i;ascii-casemap'

Workaround: stuttering legs in WoW 3.1.x
Hi there, I recently found a workaround for the "stuttering legs" bug in WoW, which is currently described in AppDB. It should work for everyone using gnome - so, since this is widespread, I thought it would be a good idea to share the workaround with you. I noticed that the running animation is all okay when activating auto-run - and that holding down the "run forward" key

How to use same h323-conf-id in incoming and outgoing legs?
Hello, I am pretty new with Asterisk and I am using it as an H323 gateway.I would like to keep the same h323-conf-id in the outgoing leg as in the incoming leg. So far I have only tried inaccessnetworks' oh323 module, but I think this is a more generic issue. My extensions.conf is pretty simple: [oh323_context] exten => _XXXXXXXXXX,1,Dial(oh323/${EXTEN},30,tr) So my question is the

how to get separate CDR for inbound and outbound legs of a call
If I have a call coming in on one line and then I am using Dial to send it out to another outside line, is there a good way to get separate CDR for both call legs? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... IAX call path optimization with more than 3 legs
hi list, after connecting 3 asterisk servers via IAX in a line (+ 1 client at each end), i noticed that call path optimization happens only one time, i.e. only one node/leg in the path can be reduced. Does anybody know if this is the intended behaviour or if it's a bug? Can anyone confirm my observations? It seems that the first node, that sends the TXREQ Message, is "optimized".

sangoma a102d + Asterisk 1.2.14 ... bridging together 2 call legs on same PRI?
Hi all, Are there any issues to be concerned about when calls come in from PSTN to a PRI card and are forwarded back out the same PRI card? Anything different have to be enabled in zaptel.conf or zapata.conf or the Sangoma configs to make this work? What about using .call files that join two ZAP channels? Playfile to both legs of call
Is there any way that I can use AMI to play a sound file to both legs of a call without either issuing two commands, one per leg, or setting up meeting rooms? I would like to be able to play a sound file that can be heard by the caller and the person called using AMI. The only way so far I have been able to do this is the following. One problem with this is that people will hear sound out of

Is it possible to keep both call legs live after Dial()
Hi folks, After a fairly extensive Google trawl, I don't think the following is possible but would appreciate confirmation from anyone else who has tried something similar. I have an AGI (not particularly relevant) which is executed when someone calls into a specific extension. This AGI finds a suitable 'agent' (not actually a queuing system in the Asterisk Queue sense) and Dial()s

asterisk tries reinvite when incompatible codecs on call legs
Hi, I just ran into what seems to be an issue on re-invites. I'm not sure if it's a bug or as designed, so I thought I'd ask the question. Here's my setup: - Asterisk 1.8.13.0 - Phone A: Polycom ip331, only allowed to use ulaw, canreinvite=yes - Phone B: Polycom ip330, only allowed to use alaw, canreinvite=yes Phone A calls the extension of phone B. After the normal call setup

CDR problems -- two call legs create only one CDR. Using ForkCDR() not even working.
Hello, When I bridge an incoming and outgoing call (attempting to simulate call-forwarding) I'm only getting one CDR -- that of the outgoing call. A (PSTN) calls B (residing on Asterisk) and the Asterisk calls C (cell phone on PSTN) and bridges the call. The only CDR created is from B to C. I have even tried using Answer() and ForkCDR() to get two CDRs, but to no avail. I am starting to
