Looking for Speech Recognition (ASR) suggestions
Hello Luca,
Thank you for your response. I?m familiar with speech recognition and TTS, but new to MRCP.
Yes, the 100k options is used for names in a directory listing.
In the pre-MRCP support, Nuance ASR used API events/methods for the application to tell ASR when the prompt was playing and when it stopped. If ASR detected speech, it would signal an event so we would stop playing the prompt.

Simple speech recognition for driving IVR - "press or say one".
Briefly: I want to be able to have "press or say (number)", with
Asterisk listening for a spoken number, but accepting a DTMF digit,
too.
I'm posting everything I found so far, here, partly to show working,
but also in case anyone else finds it useful. So, moving on....
This looked hopeful for a moment until I realised that it doesn't do DTMF:

UniMRCP and Asterisk 14
When I look at the lastest UniMRCP manual, they only mention as high as
Asterisk 13. Does anybody know if I need to do anything to allow it
to work on Asterisk 14 and, if so, what that is?

Speech Recognition
Does anyone know of a speech recognition module (like say yes or no, or
numbers) I guess due to the complexity of speech recognition it might just
be found in commercial applications or am I wrong like always?

Opus for ASR
Hello,
All of the Opus quality studies that I've seen focused on human-perceived quality. I'm interested to know of any experience with machined "perceived" quality, particularly related to speech recognition or biometrics.
I'm also interested in folks thoughts on optimizing Opus for ASR. For example, removing certain classes of comfort noise, filtering non-speech bands,

Speech/DTMF mix?
Which speed recognition products will also recognize DTMF? In other words,
I want to say "Please speak or dial the conference number". Does Vestec
allow that? LumenVox? Any other way?

Opus for ASR - update and questions
For the last couple months, Nuance has performed extensive testing on how the Opus codec performs in the speech recognition task. I'm hoping to publish a full report in the coming months, but until then all I have is a teaser. Opus performed within about 1% of the WER (Word Error Rate) of unencoded audio. This is compared to about 5% for Speex, which was the previous codec of choice. Well

Integration with external ASR engines
Hello,
Question for developers: what is the asterisk way to integrate with ASR
(speech recognition)?
Question to the community: has someone done anything in this direction?
On the first glance that shouldn't be too hard. One part is delivering audio
to the engine (for example,
main ASR players Nuance and Speechworks will be happy with RTP) - can be
done via RTP forking.
The other part is

Simple speech recognition for driving IVR - "press or say one".
Thanks Jurijs,
Yes, in fact I'm already using that, and it works fine. The problem
here is that I cannot find a way of recording speech AND listening for
a DTMF digit being pressed as an alternative.
That's where the problem lies.

Simple speech recognition for driving IVR - "press or say one".
Thanks for your responses - it looks like I have the following
options, in order of ease:
1: Modify and recompile app_record.c
Change line 471
https://github.com/asterisk/asterisk/blob/master/apps/app_record.c#L471
from
status_response = "DTMF";
to
status_response = dtmf_integer;
Pro: Free, easy
Con: Have to remember to edit module each time a new Asterisk update comes out

Voice-Recognition / ASR / with barge in
Hi there,
I am using Asterisk 11.9 (with Sangoma-E1-Card/DAHDI) and it works fine
:-) But I am wondering if there is a solution/application which will
enable me to implement voice recognition while playing a voice file
(barge in). So that the caller hears a voice file and can interrupt it
with his voice.
Currently (on our platform) the caller has to wait for the end of the
voicefie. Then we play

ASR Suggestions for small dictionnary (<1000 entries) lookup in France/french
Hello,
I'm in the early stages of designing an Emergency calling service IVR
application.
The IVR application asks simple one or two questions like "which is the
postal code of the area you are currently calling from ?" "Is the correct
?". The expected values are a 5-digits number like
"twenty-five-thousand-two-hundreds-twelve" or
