Segmentation Fault Asterisk 13.7.0-rc2 (libmysqlclient?)
Hi everyone, I am getting a segmentation fault (seems to occur randomly) using Asterisk 13.7.0-rc2 with PJProject 2.4.5. It appears to be something that libmysqlclient is complaining about when doing a query in ps_endpoint_id_ips. We are using Asterisk Realtime. This also seems to occur in Asterisk 13.5.0. Below is a backtrace that might help a little. I have looked through the change log for

[External] Encountered a crash, what is best way to tell if it has been fixed or now
I was able to put the crash through the gdb on the original VM that encountered the problem. (Not sure why the VM I initially tried to analyze the crash dump on didn’t do this correctly, but not concerned about it now). It’s providing additional details. Would this be considered a better example of the crash? I will go through the version comparisons and see if there are any updates since

How can I check backtrace files ?
Hello, I carefully read [1] which details how backtrace files can be produced. Maybe this seems natural to some, but how can I go one step futher, and check that produced XXX-thread1.txt, XXX-brief.txt, ... files are OK ? In other words, where can I find an example on how to use one of those files and check by myself, that if a system ever fails, I won't have to wait for another failure to

RTCP + Stasis causing high memory consumption
Hello Asterisk list, I've facing a memory allocation issue that happens occasionally but on a consistent basis. The problem happens as follow, suddenly Asterisk starts consuming a lot of memory, in a rate of more than 1GB per hour. Kernel will eventually kill it via the OOM killer when memory is really exausted... This situation does not generate backtrace because Asterisk is responsive

PJSIP Lockup
Hello All, I'm using Asterisk 16.8.0 on a Centos 7 box. Previously 16.5.0, But recently upgraded to attempt to resolve this issue. Using bundled PJSIP. The PBX is using mysql realtime for most functions. The Mysql server is on the same lan as the asterisk box. As more users have been moved to this box. It's become unstable. Randomly, I'll start seeing "WARNING[12667]

Which CDR processing for high load ?
Hello, I'm load testing a new Asterisk 13 system (Debian Stretch, packaged asterisk). One system writes CDR though an ODBC connection to a local Postgres database over the LAN. When sending 50 new calls per second with SIPp, I'm seeing one system outputs : taskprocessor.c: The 'subm:cdr_engine-00000003' task processor queue reached 5000 scheduled tasks again. Parking in Asterisk 12.0.0
Hi I'm trying to get the rebuilt parking functionality to work in Asterisk 12.0.0. In Asterisk 11.6.0 I managed to get a call to get parked by adding a dynamic feature in features.conf for the DMTF sequence *# which called a macro in extensions.conf, which then runned the ParkAndAnnounce application, and the call got parked. The syntax for ParkAndAnnounce I used was this (I don't

ERROR during high volume MoH dialplan
Thanks for the feedback. I do agree with having multiple smaller servers. When I was first approached with this task I mentioned as much. However, the current desire is to work with already existing hardware. That is out of my hands at the moment unless it just can't be done. I will explore Freeswitch a bit soon to compare it as well. I am struggling to find what the bottle neck is in
