Asterisk now available with bundled pjproject!
The current Asterisk 13 and master git branches have a new feature that
will be included in 13.8.0: The ability to compile and run Asterisk with a
bundled version of pjproject.
??
Why would you want to do this? Several reasons:
- Predictability: When built with the
?bundled
pjproject, you're always certain of the version you're running against,
no matter where it's

How to master Asterisk version when cloning PJPROJECT ?
Hello,
I'm giving Asterisk 12 and 13 my first try.
When compiling PJPROJECT from source, as described in wiki page, I'm using this:
git clone https://github.com/asterisk/pjproject pjproject
I suppose the above PJPROJECT is evolving for Asterisk 12, Asterisk 13
and later.
A quick look at https://github.com/asterisk/pjproject shows several tags.
I want to be able to build a

SPA112 flapping
Hi all,
I've got a device that seems to become unreachable for about 2 minutes, every
hour. From what I can tell, it isn't due to network or server issues. Any
ideas?
TIA.

grp_lock error when compiling against pjproject
Hello Asterisk,
Would someone be kind enough as to add the issue:
grp_lock error when compiling against pjproject
and solution:
delete the rogue install in /usr/local/include
To the WIKI page about installing pjsip.
I tried to update the WIKI but don't seem to have a way to do it.
I know it's not supposed to happen and I know what I did wrong, but it's hard to imagine

What to do when changing from one asterisk version to another ?
Hello,
I'm compiling Asterisk from source on Debian systems.
I'm currently writing a script I'm planning to launch when upgrading from
one Asterisk version to another one within the same class (from 13.4.0 to
13.12.0 or from 13.12.0 to 13.8.0, for instance).
Reading [1], I thought the following would work:
cd /usr/src/asterisk-13.4.0
./configure
make
make install
...
cd

Can't comile bundled PJSIP on CentOS 7
Hello,
I'm setting up an Asterisk 13.13.1 cluster on two CentOS boxes.
I followed this:
cd /usr/src
wget ... asterisk-13.13.1.tar.gz
tar zxf asterisk-13.13.1.tar.gz
cd asterisk-13.13.1
ASTERISK_CONFIGURE="--libdir=/usr/lib64 --prefix=/usr"
./configure ${ASTERISK_CONFIGURE} --with-pjproject-bundled
make menuselect (shows res-srtp is available)
make

pjproject 2.5.5 + asterisk-certified-13.8-cert1 : many Error loading module...undefined symbol
Hello
using pjproject 2.5.5
using asterisk-certified-13.8-cert1
Compiled pjproject 2.5.5 with :
./configure CFLAGS="-DNDEBUG -DPJ_HAS_IPV6=1" --prefix=/usr
--libdir=/usr/lib64 --enable-shared --disable-video --disable-sound
--disable-opencore-amr
Compiled Asterisk 13 with
./configure --libdir=/usr/lib64
All pjproject modules are selectable in menuselect, so here no problem.

Problems linking asterisk against self-compiled openssl on CentOS 5
I am trying to enable full WebRTC support on asterisk-11.15 for installation on a CentOS 5 machine. Currently the distro cannot be upgraded to any later CentOS series. This CentOS series ships with openssl-0.9.8e, which lacks DTLS-SRTP support required for
WebRTC. So I decided to build a parallel install of openssl. I chose the Fedora 21 package, openssl-1.0.1j, and built it on CentOS 5. The

Finding old patches
Hi,
In the past when I wanted to back port a patch I would go on to the issue
tracker and find a link to the patches that were uploaded ( I think
through gerrit?). I am trying to see what changes were done for
https://issues-archive.asterisk.org/ASTERISK-26109. It seems the code
changes were introduced in 14.4.0-rc1. Is there any "n00b" way of seeing
what patches were created for this

Asterisk 11 on Centos: Voicemail crashes when recording message
Hi folks,
I'm running Asterisk 11 (at the moment - planning to u/grade to v13.7
LTS), I've just configured the voicemail function, and it's mostly
working fine... except when I try to leave a voicemail! This crashes
asterisk with no entries in the messages log.
The system is running on Centos 6 (or maybe 6.5, I'm not sure how to
check this). uname -a returns:
