RES: How to dial extensions asynchronous-sequentially ?
Hi SamyGo. Thank you for the replay. So, let me explain it better: I knew that I could use something like " same = n,Dial(PJSIP/6001&PJSIP/6002) ". While every extension (called phones) rings and before anyone answers, SIP 183 messages will be sent to Asterisk from callees. If a called phone answer, the others will be hanged up. It is ok for me. I want to connect the caller just

RES: RES: How to dial extensions asynchronous-sequentially ?
Hi Sammy. After answering your last message (please, see my last message), I was thinking about conferences and my main objective. Conferences will not work well for my case, because I it will allows more than one called party answering the call. But, after one answers the call, I need cancel the others ringing callees. In this case, maybe the best thing to do is to let the called party sends

Adding Variable in all AMI events
Hi all, I'm required to send a dialplan variable with every AMI event triggered for the duration of the call. For example; ... exten => s,n,Set(MyVar=${ODBC_GetSomething(${EXTEN})) ... so can I have this Variable MyVar attached in all AMI events for this call ? I can understand that untill this variable has not been set some value it may even be empty but as soon as its set I expect some

Asterisk on Rackspace, My SIP phone behind NAT
Hi, I've successfully setup Asterisk on my local PC and can make call using Twinkle to the server. But, I cannot call to my Asterisk server at Rackspace. I have been trying several things to figure it out, no luck. My PC is behind NAT, so I've set that up in sip.conf (nat=yes). I can ping my Rackspace server so it seems to be Public-static IP. Anyway, I tried with setting externip,

How to dial extensions asynchronous-sequentially ?
Heya Rodrigo Not sure, but this expansion on Sammy's concept may help you achieve the delayed ring on the secondary extensions you were looking for. exten => _600.,1,Dial(PJSIP/${EXTEN}) exten => _600.,n,Hangup exten => _600.wait5,1,Wait(5) exten => _600.wait5,n,Dial(PJSIP/${EXTEN:0:4}) exten => _600.wait5,n,Hangup exten => 555,1,Dial(LOCAL/6001&LOCAL/6002.wait5)

Asterisk 1.8 and DeadAGI
Dears; In asterisk 1.8, it is not more possible to use DeadAGI? Also, I found the below commands in the a2billing and I would to ask why it set the sequence 1 for the Hangup()? Maybe because it is related to the NoOp? How? [a2billing-callingcard] exten => _X.,1,NoOp(A2Billing Start) exten => _X.,n,Answer() exten => _X.,n,Wait(2) exten => _X.,n,DeadAgi(a2billing.php,1) exten =>

Asterisk behind NAT and Kamailio --> Internal IP in SDP and not "externip"
Hi, We have some Asterisk servers that we are moving behind a NAT to preserve public addresses and make room for growth. This is Asterisk 1.4 NAT works very good with the externip/localnet-setting when we are connected directly to our teleco. But when I try to use NAT and put them behind our Kamailio something interesting happens: The media-address in the SDP is the internal ip and not the

FreePBX: using context other than the default context and the generation for the configuration
Hi All; If I set a context other than the default context, then I do not see a generation for a configuration in the extensions_additional.conf for this context, but always the generation for the configuration is for the default context (from-internal). Normally, I have to put some Phones in a context and another Phones in a context, and give each context a privilages, but if I do this, then I

SIP Retransmitting REGISTER message
Hi, I was trying to register a VoIP trunk in Asterisk , where its keep on sending Register message to the server, where I am not getting any response from server. But whereas if i register in Xlite softphone the account is getting registered. I suspect it could be network related issue, but since in softphone it is getting registered from the same network. Any ideas to isolate things would be

No UDPTL ports remaining
Hi all, Lately, I've been seeing more and more instances where I get a flood of warning messages like this: [Apr 26 14:09:50] WARNING[21054] udptl.c: No UDPTL ports remaining The next thing I know, my server is dropping calls and starting to misbehave. I use fax via T.38, so I can't just turn udptl off. I could expand the port range, but I suspect that will just mask the situation.

Asterisk removes SDP from 180 with SDP
Asterisk receives a 180 Ringing with SDP from the called side, then it sends 180 without SDP to the calling side. We would like asterisk to sends to the calling side the same response that was received from the called side. This is Asterisk cert 13.1, is that a new behavior, is there a setting to change this ? ?

Send 200 OK with SDP instead of 183 with SDP when ringing starts
Hello, all. I have an asterisk 2.3.2 and a Sangoma interface through which I connected an external PSTN line. I use it as carrier for VoIP calls. I can make successfully calls, but there's one problem, I receive 200 OK with SDP with delay (sometimes more than 30 seconds). So when I make a call through asterisk I receive intially: - 100 Trying - 183 Session Progress, with SDP when the called

Sending a SIP INVITE without SDP from Asterisk
Hello list, I have a question here that may be a little bit strange for some of you. I would like to send an INVITE from Asterisk to a given client without any SDP anouncement in it. Indeed, that is pretty useful for Click to call applications for instance, where you have no way to know which codecs are supported by the client you try to reach. Moreover, you let the client decide the

OPTIONS support for SDP
I have been sending OPTIONS requests 1) programatically (my own code), 2)manually via SIP VERIFY PEER x and 3)automatcially by setting verify=yes in sip.conf. The trouble is I do not see anything except an ACK 200 come back from endpoints and it does not contain any SDP/codec info. . My goal is to determine audio and video codec capability in advance of a call INVITE. I notice in both 2 and 3

180 with SDP
How does Asterisk (1.2) handle a 180 WITH SDP? I am seeing different behavior when a call is initiated from an Asterisk server and from an alternate point. With Asterisk, I am hearing ringing and with the other origination point, I am getting a message played on the far-end indicating to wait while the call is connected. I am wondering if the ring in the 1st (Asterisk) scenario is being played

Thanks, Dave -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:
