DAHDI FXO calls and the 's' extension. No, Jackie-O doesn't work here--it's just an example. Sheesh!
Calls that come in on DAHDI FXO ports are routed to [context], extension 's'
INSTEAD, I would like to route specific ports to specific extensions, For
example:
I want DAHDI/1-1 to go to 1234
I want DAHDI/1-2 to go to 2345
I want DAHDI/1-3 to go to 3456 ...etc
What is the CLEANEST way to do this?
Yes, I can create a private context for each DAHDI channel but that seems
messy and

[UK SPECIFIC] DAHDI and a OpenVox Card
Hi,
Built a new server at the weekend and install Asterisk 1.6.0.9 and IAX and SIP work great :) The one problem I am having is getting the OpenVox (TDM400 type card) to work. It is successfully identified using WCTDM kernel module and dahdi_scan picks it up just fine. The issue is when I try and setup dahdi_channel.conf as it fails everytime. When running asterisk -rvvvv I see the port pick

dahdi fax catch-22
I've got a Digium Wildcard TDM410P with one POTS line and three
extensions. One of the extensions is connected to a fax modem. This kind
of works, but there's a gotcha. If I set faxdetect=incoming in
chan_dahdi.conf, then incoming faxes do get routed to the modem and this
all works, but outbound faxes fail, with a message like this:

Clarification on DAHDI Fax Detection
Hi folks,
I was hoping that someone might be able to help clarify some confusion I
have on DAHDI Fax detection after spending some time searching. My
understanding is this:
1.) Echo cancellation is automatically disabled upon recognition of a
CNG tone, regardless of the faxdetect setting. This can only be disabled
at compile time.
2.) faxdetect=incoming will, upon detection of a CNG tone,

Excerpt from chan_dahdi.conf is shown below. I'm trying to enable fax

mean that I don't have it configured correctly?

PRI debug of the entire call would be great, also, switchtype would be
awesome as well.
Thanks!

Problem routing call to fax machine on DAHDI FXS port
I am running Asterisk 1.6.2.17.2 with a Openvox A400 card with 2FXO/2FXS
modules. I'm trying to set-up things to route analog fax calls from a
FXO port to an analog fax machine on a FXS port on the same card.
Outgoing faxes work just fine. But incoming faces are routed to the
right DAHDI extension, but the call dropped right as the fax machine
rings for the first time. The fax machine

2B Channel Transfer on XO-based T1
I'm trying to get "blind transfer" from an incoming DAHDI line to an
external number to work on an * 1.6 install using a T1 from XO. The
documentation is very "distributed" and incomplete, so while it's not
working, it's definitely more likely my error somehow. Couple questions if
anybody is out there who even knows what TBCT is.

dahdi wcb4xxp and fax
Hi all,
I wanted to switch from my current setup (mISDN) to the native dahdi with
b410p support (wcb4xp). All works fine for normal phone calls but not for
faxing. Faxes are distorted, if arriving at all, and hylafax logs the usual
bad stuff (HDLC frame not byte-oriented.)
Our setup uses a digium b410p card with asterisk 1.6, latest libpri and
dahdi, hylafax with iaxmodem, and all this on 1

Problem routing call to fax machine on DAHDI FXSport
[18884732963 at from-fax-machine:... - your call is hitting the

Too Few Fax Detections
OK, after my last message about fax detection, I feel a bit better informed and able to press forward. I started looking into this because I was getting lots of false positive fax detection errors in the logs with faxdetect=both set in chan_dahdi.conf.
Anyhow, I do not currently use fax detection, and we have a dedicated Fax DID on our PRI, so setting faxdetect=no works fine. Having said that, I

setup for fax machine
Becasue of all the issues with fax over voip, we want to use pstn for
our fax machine, but not dedicate a line just to fax.
I'm thinking of having asterisk answer the pstn line, check for fax
tones, and route appropriately. In zapata ( chan_dahdi ) set
faxdetect=incoming
then the dial plan would have
[incoming-pstn]
exten => fax,1,Dial(DAHDI/1) ; the fax machine

What I am trying to get though is how to pass through the DID range.
The E1 that I am connecting to the Telco with, used to connect direct to the
NEC system and already has hunt group calling enabled for all 30 channels.
Also, I was given a 100 number indial range (from 00 -> 99).
If the E1 is connected to the NEC directly, I can call 5555 7320 and the NEC

Detect incoming fax on PSTN and route to fax machine on DADHI extension?
I'm running an AsteriskNow V1.7.1 with both a PSTN connection and fax
machine. Both are connected to a DAHDI board. I'd like to route
incoming PSTN fax calls to the extension of the fax machine and process
non-fax calls through different dialplan.logic.
What's the best way to go about doing this? I've looked into Fax for
Asterisk, bit I'm not sure that I want it or NVFax

asterisk fax handeling
Hello,
I was wondering if the following was possible:
When somebody sends a fax to my direct number 0101234567105 (my extension
will be 105) is it possible that Asterisk, or an addon sees this as a fax,
and e-mail the fax to me?
So everybody with a private extension will be able to receive faxes in his
e-mailbox on his direct number.
Any pointers would be highly appreciated!
Thanks,

DAHDI - BRI - Astribank
Hello List,
it is a very long time since I wrote here.... It has been still in
Zaptel times....
Today I am run into a related problem: I can't get a DAHDI setup to
work 100%. I am configuring an Astribank XR00013 (BRI, two ISDN ports).
At some degree the installation (latest DAHDI drivers, Asterisk
1.6.0.18 on Centos 5.x) works.
I can get incoming calls to the dialplan context that is
