"Retransmission Timeout" results in dropped calls after 32 seconds
Hi, In my experience, all Yealink phones work just fine with Asterisk, we have hundreds (perhaps even low-thousands) out there with customers on Asterisk 1.2, 1.6.2, 1.8 and 11. If you are accurately representing the SIP trace on the phone and the SIP trace on Asterisk, then I would strongly suggest a SIP ALG exists in the network between the two devices and that SIP ALG does not understand SIP

Call picked up from queue and transferred gets disconnected - about 0.01% of calls
Hi Guys I have an issue where a call is picked up from a queue. The caller asks the person who answered to attended transfer to extension 3082 (for argument's sake.) 3082 picks up the attended transfer and speaks with the outside caller picked up initially from the queue. A few seconds after 3082 has started speaking to the outside caller - 3082's call goes dead in their

Grandstream GXP2140
Hi Everyone. I have a customer looking to deploy about 20 Grandstream GXP2140 phones. Normally they would deploy Yealink brand phones but they want a phone with gigabit pass through and the Yealinks with gigabit are too expensive for their budget. Does anyone on the list have experience with the GXP2140? Is it a reliable phone? Does anyone have recommendations for other phones with gigabit

Switched from Asterisk 1.8 to 13 - CDR ringtime now always zero (Joshua C. Colp)
Regarding this I've read the specs linked to in detail, but I can find no mention anywhere of any change that implies or states that no ring time will be recorded anymore in Asterisk 13 and that all times in start and answer columns will now be equal for all calls. Can this be because I nowhere use the Answer() application in my dialplan when dialing out? -----Original Message----- From:

PJSIP Weirdness, or just my weirdness?
Hello! Oh, wise ones, ponder with me over two of the surprises that populate the universe! I have a phone, that I sometimes cannot reach, connected via pjsip. It can call other extensions just fine, it can call out over a trunk to my cell, all is well, but getting a call? Forget it most of the time. Here is all the config relevant to that phone: [murftest12] type=aor qualify_frequency=1992

Experience with LLDP
Hello, LLDP is more and more available on various network elements (endpoint, switches, ...). It seems to ease network configuration. Do you have any experience with it ? How would you rate LLDP ? Problems with inbound connection and registering phone
I have two problems. The first is that when I dial my number from a phone on the Internet or any phone outside my LAN, Asterisk does not respond in any way, which means somehow my system is not picking up the fact that there's an incoming call to it. The second problem is that I thought I'd try an internal phone to see if I could get the hello-world stuff working at the least. I

Failed to authenticate device "Ext 110"
I'm having a strange problem recently with a Yealink SIP-T28P phone connected to Asterisk 11.4.0 via openvpn. It was working fine for months, and now when I dial anything from the phone, it shows "Forbidden", and the Asterisk console shows: [May 21 10:47:49] NOTICE[28518][C-00000004]: chan_sip.c:25189 handle_request_invite: Failed to authenticate device "Ext 110" <

BLF support in Asterisk and early/confirmed/terminated/proceeding NOTIFY states.
I have a setup with Yealink phones & Asterisk Server (all latest patches). I am using BLF to display the states of other phones. While this works MOST of the time (busy, being called) it does NOT work when a phone is NOT regisstered at all, the yealink phones display a green dot EVEN if a phone is turned off (try explain this to users, they are shaking their heads!!!) I can see on the

DSCP QoS value in YeaLink phone settings
Hello list, I need to set Voice QoS and SIP QoS for YeaLink. The possible values are 0 ~ 63. With Grandstream I can fill in DiffServ 46, which is EF. That's what I want. With Snom I fill in 184, which corresponds to EF or DSCP 46 (according to their wiki) But what value do I want to fill in with this YeaLink ??? This is a conversion table :

Arel table aliases and ActiveRecord::Relation help: how to specify "multiple has_many items in a query"
What is the recommended way to use table aliases with ActiveRecord::Relation these days? In prior versions of Rails, this would work: assume (pseudo code): model A has_many b''s model B ,,, at = B.arel_table atalias = at.alias(at.name + "_1") A.join(:b).join(atalias).where(atalias[:a_id].eq(at[:a_id]).where("b.widget =

Difficulty over USB with a CyberPower 800AVR and nut 2.0.3
I recently purchased a CyberPower 800AVR UPS which I'm trying to use over USB with my PC (ArchLinux 0.7.2 [aka up to date]) and nut 2.0.3. Following the setup instructions, I have an entry as follows in /etc/nutups/ups.conf (where I chose the configuration file to go when building nut): [MyUPS] driver = cyberpower port = /dev/bus/usb/004/007 desc = Workstation

[OT] Yealink Phones
I've just started deploying these (well the T28P model) after years of Snom issues and they look pretty good (although the documentation is execrable; if you thought the Snom stuff was obtuse Yealink have got them knocked into a cocked hat!). Anyway, for provisioning I use HTTP with a DHCP entry like:- # # Yealink Phones # group { #
