overlap dialing on a pri span
Hi, I am lost trying to figure out how to enable overlap dialing for calls coming in and coing out on a pri span. DISA looked promising at first, but does not seem to support overlap dialing. Just picking up a call by and trying to dial out does not seem the way to do it either. I tried: [dialincontext] exten => 12341234,1,Goto(dialoutcontext,s,1) [dialoutcontext] exten => s,1,Wait,1

DAHDI/ZAP overlap dialing
Hi, I have a PRI euroisdn link between an Alcatel PBX and Asterisk. I'm having some trouble with overlap dialing. Suppose I dial '874053' from an Alcatel extension ('7034') where '87' is an Alcatel prefix of type "ARS Prof.Trg Grp Seiz.with overlap". I'm expecting Asterisk to receive '1004053' (where '100' is a prefix which always shows

Asterisk / PRI and Outbound Overlap Dialing
I am trying to setup Asterisk to act like a PBX connected via a PRI gateway to a voice netowrk where Asterisk is doing outbound overlap dialing for calls that terminate via that PRI. AFter researching through the archives and online dcocs, I thought I had everyting setup right, dialplan configured for '_X!' and the 'overlapdial=yes' in the chan_dahdi.conf file, but when I try and

Problems with overlap dial and Xorcom Astribank BRI
I have a strange problem with overlap dialing. I installed an asterisk server between a Siemens HiCom PBX and our telephony provider. Everything is working fine except some strange problems with the dialing of the fax (connected to the HiCom PBX). It seems to me that if dialing takes too long Asterisk just hangs up the channel without recognizing that the fax machine is still dialing: (Fax gets

retrieving dialed number when overlap dialing?
I have a number of local users who can dial out on a pri channel using the fantastic new overlap dialing feature. I would like to add a speed dialing feature, such as 1. User picks up and dials out (dial startet with option 'H') 2. User hangs up call with '*' 3. Dialed number is stored in a variable 4. User dials a two-digit extension followed by the # sign to save the stored

QSIG-SIP overlap dialing and Asterisk (RFC4497)
P.H.B. is insisting on having the ability to create a transparant SIP tunnel between old style ISDN telephony PBX with overlap dialing: PBX - ISDN - IAD - SIP - * - DAHDI - PRI The idea is that dialed numbers a the PBX are transmitted to the PRI as they are typed, whenever the PRI gets the signal that the number is complete the dialer instantly gets a ringing. This behavior is described in RFC

Dial plan question - exclamtion mark
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/index.php?page=Asterisk+Dialplan+Patterns says: ======== ! wildcard, matches zero or more characters immediately (only Asterisk 1.2 and later, see note) Note: The exclamation mark wildcard, which is available only in Asterisk 1.2 and later, behaves specially - it will match as soon as can without waiting for the dialing to complete, but

PRI/Zap premature dialing problem
The originating PRI system passes the entire dialed number in the d-channel setup frame, thus the concept of a wait time for additional digits is meaningless. Progressive digit gathering implies that the signalling is occuring 'in-band' as would be the case with DTMF signalling on analog lines. You need to look in the Ascom and find the configuration table that lays out the dialplan for

SIP 484 (Early Dial) and International Dialing
I'm building a dialplan for use with a bunch of GXP2000 desk sets. During testing, we had some user issues surrounding the lack of an on-phone dialplan. Users would hit 9 and sit there waiting for a redial tone, and the GXP would time out, sending just '9' to *, which couldn't do much other than spit back a 404 or play pbx-invalid. I turned on the "early dial" option

DAHDI / dial in / overlap digits / timeout
Hi, our Asterisk is connected to an E1 port. So we are using the DAHDI-Driver. Please , how do I tell the driver/Asterisk to wait for overlap digits for in-calls? I found the option "overlapdial=yes" but I did not try yet. Is that "my" option? Is there any option for setting an timeout? Thorsten

early dial (or overlap dial) and Asterisk 1.2 vs. 1.4
Hi, I am testing some IP phones (eg. GXP2000) and noticed that the "early dial" feature works fine with Asterisk 1.4 but not with 1.2. "early dial" is when digits are sent immediately, one by one, and Asterisk replies with a "484 Address Incomplete" and waits for the next digit until a match is found. This is a very useful feature where no dial patterns have to be

overlap zaphfc - dialtone
Hello all, I have a problem with overlap dialing and don't know how to get rid of it. My setup is: 1 HFC card with bristuff -> ZAP/g1 (2B + 1D channels), SIP phones (I just removed TDM400P with 4 FXS) I created test extension 222 which goes directly to g1. In Zapata.conf overlapdial is set to yes. First I created this extension: exten => 222,1,Dial(zap/g1,100,tc)
