Forward error code beetwen legs
Hello asterisk users,
I have a strange behaviour with asterisk and error code forwarding in
asterisk 11.
Please find below my setup:
Phone -> ASTERISK -> SIP TRUNK PROVIDER
A phone start a call, asterisk start a leg to my SIP trunk provider.
I have a simple dialplan to handle it:
[gotoexternal]
exten => _X.,1,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN}@provider)
When my SIP provider return to asterisk a 404

Recommendations for free virtual server tech and Asterisk?
If you want to use dahdi dummy driver inside asterisk for timer then this
is possible with openvz based container virtualization.
We have tested vicidial in this mode for 5-10 agents and it worked well.

Recommendations for free virtual server tech and Asterisk?
What is the best virtual server tech (and most stable, etc) to use for a asterisk virtual hosting environment?
I have a client that wants to do virtual hosting of Asterisk (only SIP or IAX, no PRI, etc) and I'm wondering if Xen or something else would be best? We'd like to stay away from the costs of VMWare if possible.
Thanks!

Hello,
I would like to double check what Echo Cancellation my Digium Card uses.
I thought I bought the little more expensive card that integrates
EchoCancellation. How can I check?

Dear David,
you asked this question a while ago on the R mailing list and got no
answer. I have the same problem and was wondering if you had found a solution

sshd blocks SIGALRM
Gidday everbody,
We have just found an interesting issue regarding the sshd daemon on our
SuSE system. For some reasons, the /usr/sbin/sshd process blocks SIGALRM as
shown in the /proc/pid/status:
$ cat /proc/`cat /var/run/sshd.init.pid`/status

State: S (sleeping)

tinc puppet module to create a L2 mesh
Hi,
I wrote a draft puppet module to maintain a L2 mesh based on tinc [1]. I tried to explain what it is about so that it makes sense even to people who know nothing about tinc [2]. Before polishing it so that it can be useful to the general public instead of just myself, I would very much appreciate your comments. This is my first experience with tinc and I would like to improve :-)
Thanks for

Degraded performance when using GRE over tinc
Hi,
In a setup where OpenVSwitch is used with GRE tunels on top of an interface provided by tinc, I'm experiencing significant performance degradation problems (from 100Mb/s down to 1Mb/s in the worst case) and I'm not sure how to fix this. The manifestation of the problem is, from the user point of view, iperf reports ~100Mb/s and rsync reports ~1Mb/s:
$ iperf -c 91.224.149.132

hint priority with 50 channels
Hi,
I noticed that my hint priority stops working when I add to many
extensions/channels. It looks like everything exceeding 80 characters is
discarded.
By stop working I mean the status is and stays "Unavailable".
This works
exten => *1,hint,SIP/loicvoip1_1&IAX2/loicvoip1_1&SIP/loicvoip1_1_a1
This does not work:

help w/ nonlinear regression
Dear All,
I'd like to fit a "kind" of logistic model to small data-set using nonlinear least-squares regression. A transcript of R-script are reproduced below. Estimated B and T (the model's coeff, herein B=-8,50 and T=5,46) seem appropriate (at least visually) but are quite diff from those obtained w/ SPSS (Levenberg-Marquardt): B=-19,56 and T=2,37. Am I doing something wrong in
