rssh and scponly arbitrary command execution
I just released rssh version 2.2.3 to fix the problem detailed below.
I haven't had time to update my website yet, and my Internet acess is
quite limited these days (hence the terse announcement), so I probably
won't get to that for a while. However, rssh 2.2.3 is available from
the sourceforge.net site:

Password in SSH scrips
Hi,
Suppose my backup server has to copy every day at the end of the night,
all files from the Web Server. So every day I will have a script that
copies files using SCP.
I USE HP-UX .
But this script must work without anyone entering passwords. I know that
SCP will need Passwords. How can I make a script with this feature ? Using
keygen ?
If posssible, describe with details how

ownership permissions on files replaced via scp -- bug or feature?
I've noticed the following behavior on files that are overwritten with
an scp command and I can't decide if this is intended behavior or a bug?
Can someone with a little more insight please share the reasoning for
this (if any)? I've tested this with a mix of 3.4p1 and 3.5p1 hosts.
Suppose we have 2 files on different hosts, with different group
ownership and permissions. user1 is not

[PATCH] v2v: Implement SSH password authentication for Xen and VMX over SSH.
This isn't quite the full thing. I think that Pino is also working on
replacing the ssh and scp commands in the v2v/input_vmx.ml file with
libssh. Without those changes, -i vmx will still issue raw ssh and
scp commands, which will use ssh-agent (or keyboard-interactive).
The Xen input method doesn't use raw ssh and scp commands, so that one
is OK.

Connection terminates just after changing the password for user whose password was expired.
Hi ,
I am using OpenSSH7.5 on AIX platform and I was testing the same against
the user's password expired functionality.
Normally when password is expired and if I do telnet , it will prompt for
password change and at the same time user will allowed to logged in
successfully.
But when I try the same with ssh, it prompts me for password change and
after changing the password, the connection

scp hardwires location to ssh?
hello,
i'm building a solaris package of openssh 2.5.1 for my employer. my
configure string is this:
./configure --prefix=/usr/share/jon
--with-xauth=/usr/openwin/bin/xauth --with-ipv4-default
--with-tcp-wrappers --with-pid-dir=/etc --sysconfdir=/etc
i use a prefix of /usr/share/jon , then build the system V package
from there. most things work great, but somehow scp does not. it
