CentOS newbie just saying hello
Hi folks,
Just a quick hello having installed CentOS on my first box - an Acer
Altos G310 (P4 2.8GHz, 768MB RAM with 70GB + 300GB storage. The 300GB
unit is a SATA disk which I hope to software (hardware!?) mirror - if
I'm in for any major fun mirroring a SATA drive do let me know now - I
think hardware mirroring is not an option (yet!?) but I haven't checked
this out completely.

ssh: case insensitive fingerprint validation
Hello!
I noticed the ssh client now allows you to paste a fingerprint at the
host key verification question which I thought was pretty cool and a
welcome feature.
When testing it out I discovered it did not care about the case of the
entered hash, and looking at sshconnect.c I see strcasecmp() is
used which explains why.
I'm just curious if this was a deliberate decision or if it would make

OT: P4 Vs Xeon for Linux
I have just had delivered a new HP Proliant server and it is based on an
Intel Xeon 2.8GHz processor. On site already we have an Acer Altos G310 with
a P4 2.8GHz processor.
The new HP server was destined for another site with about 30 persons to
service some simple file and print sharing and to manage their email
(postfix + MailScanner). The Acer is hosting our Intranet, file and print

Centos 4 / Postfix / SMTP
I've just installed Centos 4 on an Acer G310 server - everything's gone well
except I'm not able to SMTP connect to my upstream mail server (I've
installed postfix + MailScanner) - I managed to find sort out the dovecot
side of things but SMTP remains quite silent - the maillog shows an
attempted connect but then a timeout:

Automatic FIDO2 key negotiation (request for comments)
At present whenever non-resident keys are used the key_handle required
to use the token must be given by selecting the ssh 'private key' file
generated by ssh-keygen during negotiation.
In the more common webauthn context this key_handle would be stored on
the server and then transmitted to the client during authentication.
The client then checks connected tokens for one that reports it

Fwd: sk-api suggestions
Hello,
I'm helping the Git for windows team and contributing in git-for-windows
repository to help expand the OpenSSH support for fido2 devices on Windows.
Currently we are using your internal implementation(sk-usbhic.c) however
since Windows 10 version 1903 this requires administrator privileges.
I'm trying to create a module for OpenSSH to use webauthn.dll instead of

[PATCH] builder: when not checking sigs, ignore --fingerprint args (RHBZ#1193237)
When the user chooses to not verify the signatures on the indexes
(using --no-check-signature), there is no point in requiring as many
--fingerprint as --source (or even just one), as they will not be used
anyway.
In this case just ignore all the values of the specified --fingerprint
arguments.
