Help Me to Adjust the R Code
Hi, The following code, from Angelo Canty article on line "Resampling Methods in R: the boot Package, 2002", works fine for Angelo Canty using R 2.6.0 on Windows XP. It also works for me using R 1.2.1 and S-PLUS 2000 on Windows XP after installing the S-PLUS bootstrap library, with slight differences in my outputs. > library(boot) > library(survival) >

plot(pam.object) error with R-1.7.0 on Red-Hat 8.0 i686
I don't know if there is some fault in compiling or a bug of the new R-1.7.0 version: cl.pam.2 <- pam(as.dist(1-cor(mel.data)),2) plot(cl.pam.2) perform a right partitioning and silhouette plot on the old R-1.6.2 instead "Error in clusplot.default(x$diss,...... ; x is not numeric" is the output on the new R-1.7.0. Same platform: RH8.0 i686. Some suggestions? A.S.

[RSpec] Question about using TextMate Bundle...
Hey Everyone, First time poster! woot! Can someone please point me to a Wiki, FAQ, web page, that I can reference to help me debug why my installation of the TextMate Bundle doesn''t work? Am I supposed to install the gem, then install the plugins into a project, then install the bundle before the bundle can work? I can run ''rake spec'' at the command line just fine;

[RSpec] Unexpected behavior using TextMate Bundle...
Howdy, Why does the bundle NOT work when I do the following: - Start TextMate - Open my project - Open my spec - Try to run spec and get an error While the following DOES work: - Open Terminal - Locate my project - Start TextMate via command line (mate .) - Open my spec - Try to run spec and it works Cheers, Mel -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was

smbpasswd + ldap questions
I would like to have sync'd Unix and Samba passwords. My Unix passwords are stored in OpenLDAP for uniformity across machines and services. I have some problems with the standard solutions to this problem though: * if I have Samba authenticate from OpenLDAP directly (using the smbPassword attribute), then I get sync'ing problems when the password is changed via normal Unix means. Applying a Patch.
Hello all. I sent a message to Jerry and the list, I see it didn't appear, must have made an error. Maybe that's good, I shouldn't hassle Jerry about minor stuff. I've never applied a patch. What does it entail, I'm sure being a rocket scientist isn't part of it? I been to the site and seen the patches, they look like scripts that can be run, is this the case? How?

Linksys/Sipura SPA-3201 FXO/FSA with Asterisk
All, I am looking at a little support on this, as I haven't found it on google yet. I have had this work on Callweaver, but am moving to Asterisk for a variety of reasons. My dial plans, and everything else transferred perfectly, though I am not sure they are 'correct' for Asterisk 1.6.1, with simple things like SIP users outlined in the sip.conf file, not in the users file,

files on bricks but not on client
Hi all - We're running a 3-node distributed volume, using gluster 3.3.1. We're seeing a rare but repeated issue, where files are written to the volume, appears to be written OK, but are not accessible via NFS or the gluster client. These files appear when we inspect the bricks directly. For example, the path in question is

Have you used the Rails SaaS kit?
Have any of you actually bought & used the Rails SaaS kit? I am considering getting it to skip building out the admin & billing parts but I wanna get feedback from someone who has actually used it. Would you recommend getting the kit? Would you rather get a refund and built it yourself? ~ mel --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are

I don't really see anything between v5.0..v5.1 which would account for this. Could have been a subtle change to the i2c logic somewhere. The fastest way to identify the problem would be to do a bisect on the kernel to identify the commit that caused this. There are many guides for this online. Suggestion: put svn url under "Contribute" section of site
Hello, I have been looking to submit a patch to RSpec, and I wanted to go about it the right way, so I loaded up http://rspec.rubyforge.org/contribute.html. The author of this page suggests that one should download from trunk to make any patches. It would be great if this section also included a url to the trunk. -Chris

Limit SSH access for users from defined source address
Hi all, let me describe my environment and problem. System is RHEL 5.6 with latest stable OpenSSH. In sshd_config is defined "AllowGroups sshusers" but I need limitation to some of users in group to have access only from defined IP address. As I know this can be setup in sshd_config only for AllowUsers, but users in group are changed so I must use allowgroups instead of allowusers.

Using /bin/sh to exec subsystems [PATCH]
I've gone ahead and written the code to allow subsystems to always be run with the Bourne shell instead of the user's shell, thus allowing user's with invalid shells to be able to use sftp (but not ssh, because their shell is invalid). The patch is attached. -------------- next part -------------- An embedded and charset-unspecified text was scrubbed... Name: bin-sh-subsystem.diff

Dovecot 1.0rc30 message ownership set as root mail
I've compiled the latest release candidate of dovecot and I am encountering a strange problem when mail is delivered. I have my installation configured to use Maildir. When messages arrive, they are placed in the correct user directory, but the ownership for individual messages is set to root and the group set to mail. This prevents these messages from being displayed in my client. The
