Update to solaris package creation
Can someone else from the Solaris realm that uses our package system verify that this should be done? It looks right, but I want another opinion before commiting. - Ben > On Wed, 27 Feb 2002, Antonio Navarro wrote: > >> Hi Ben, >> >> I have made some modifications to the buildpkg.sh script that is >> distributed with openssh. >> >> I am sending it to

File_column : how can I resize/convert/whatever an image according to form-submitted values?
Hi guys, I want to have a file upload form which would allow the user to ask for certain transformations of the image before saving it - most importantly, to resize it. Now, how can I make an instance of FileColumn enabled model process these imagemagick instructions? My model looks looks somewhat like : class Image < ActiveRecord::Base attr_accessor :resize_dimension, :resize_to

Whatever happened to bz#983?
Hello all, Some time ago there seemed to be progress on the RequiredAuthentication patch that would allow sshd to require that multiple authentication methods be successful in order to grant access to a system. [1] That patch was used as a poster-child for the Match keyword that was subsequently added. Unfortunately, it looks like development on this feature has stalled. Are there plans to

Hi list! I have a Legacy PBX hooked up to one port of a TE210P. One is connected to I want to use the PBX for incoming and outgoing fax. I managed to get incoming working but I don't understand how to feed calls from the PBX into the FreePBX setup. It seems that when you press zero on the Legacy PBX the PBX just switches over to the PRI to pass each digit nicely one by one as it is

Kickstart just create /boot, recommended swap and / with whatever is left.
Howdy, The default partitioning scheme appears to be: swap /boot / small amount of space /home remainder of space. Is there any way via kickstart to have it just create swap with the recommended size, /boot, and then just / with the remainder without manually specifying the names of the lvs/vgs etc? I figured there would be an autopart -atomic option but that doesn't seem to exist. Any

Whatever happened to rc8?
It sounded like there was going to be one, so that some of the fixes that didn't make it into rc7 could be easily tested before releasing 1.0? -- Best regards, Charles

Storage Design (Regligious War, Whatever)
We've been running dovecot director setup using MAILDIR++ spools on NFS served by 4 (aging) Netapp clustered filers and are considering modernizing our storage. There's nothing particularly wrong with the existing storage except the age, density and power consumption don't compare well when against new systems. Refreshing the Netapps is an option but they come at a substantial cost.

smoothing or curve-fit a time series using lowess, polynomial or whatever I can get working
I was looking for suggestions as to how to smooth a timeseries and, having accomplished that, how to find the fitted curve values for intermediate points. ? I've tried numerous examples of possible approaches in R that I've found on the web, but when applied to my simple data, R returns an error message in numerous cases. ? The main problem seems to be that I have monthly data, starting

Generalized 2D list/array/whatever?
I'm trying to figure out how I can get a generalized 2D list/array/matrix/whatever working. Seems I can't figure out how to make the variables the right type. I always seem to get some sort of error... out of bounds, wrong type, wrong dim, etc. Very confused... :) x[["some label", "some other index"]] <- 3 x[["some other label", "something

abline(h=whatever) not working in candleChart() (in quantmod)?
Hello, all-- I am having some fun playing with the graphing in quantmod-- very nice! I am writing a function to calculate (and hopefully plot) support and resistance lines, but the usual plot call of "abline(h=value)" does not seem to work. Here's my code: require(quantmod) AAPL<-getYahooData("AAPL") candleChart(AAPL,subset="last 3

Whatever happened to the gtk based uxtheme.dll implimentation?
Hello, This is my first post here, so I'm sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place. A while ago on one of the wine newsletters, it was reported that somebody messed around with the uxtheme.dll implimentation to allow for native gtk themes to work with wine apps. This was a great idea, as the default widgets wine uses, are quite frankly, kind of ugly. I'm wondering whatever
