[LLVMdev] -Qunused-arguments
I'm getting a lot of this from make check: g++: unrecognized option `-Qunused-arguments' This presumably comes from commit 94666 (test/LLVMC/ExternOptions.td and other files). That option is specific to clang, isn't it? Should %compile_cxx be picking up clang instead of my system's g++? -- IMPORTANT NOTICE: The contents of this email and any attachments are confidential and

help in lme
To anyone who can help, I have two stupid questions, and one fairly intelligent question Stupid question (1): is there an R function to calculate a factorial of a number? That is...is there a function g(.) such that g(3) = 6, g(4) = 24, g(6) = 720, etc? Stupid question (2): how do you extract the estimated covariance matrix of the random effects in an lme object? Intelligent question

./configure: line 5083: syntax error near unexpected token `-DFORTIFY_SOURCE=2, '
Hi all, I always have a problem to compile Tinc 1.1 on Debian Wheezy (after AC_CONFIG_MACRO_DIRS problem was solved). Now I get : ./configure: line 5083: syntax error near unexpected token `-DFORTIFY_SOURCE=2,' ./configure: line 5083: ` AX_CHECK_COMPILE_FLAG(-DFORTIFY_SOURCE=2, CPPFLAGS="$CPPFLAGS -DFORTIFY_SOURCE=2")' Just to be clear, I run : rm -Rf /usr/src/tinc git

Classification problem - rpart
I am performing a binary classification using a classification tree. Ironically, the data themselves are 2483 tree (real biological ones) locations as described by a suite of environmental variables (slope, soil moisture, radiation load, etc). I want to separate them from an equal number of random points. Doing eda on the data shows that there is substantial difference between the tree and random

Domain controller problems
Hello! I am trying to set up a domain for my home network, but I ran into problems. The situation: The Debian server has netbios name "server", there are more PCs, I will only talk about "pchrispc". The user I want to setup is "pappl". Here is what I did: Installed Samba, configured it correctly (domain master, netlogon, etc.), added the UNIX user pappl (with a

add Spectre variant 2 mitigations
Hi. Both GCC and clang are adding mitigations for Spectre variant 2 although neither have yet made a release and neither are on by default. After trolling through and building release candidate branches for both I believe this is what is required for the ssh programs (although all the dependent libraries will also need to be built with mitigations, and I suspect libcrypto is a more likely
