sshd and consequences of HostKeyAgent
Hello, I tried to use HostKeyAgent with sshd 6.7 under Linux. That worked for Linux clients. There is nothing in /var/log/secure. Also a diff between the config.h 's without and with --with-ssh1 is attached. I have a centos-6.7 under

Move servers public/private keys to a new host
Is it possible to move a server's public and private keys from one host to another? Configure option '--with-ssh1' breaks openssh-7.3p1
OK, with this additional information I can now reproduce it. Based on some quick experiments it seems to be triggered when sshd is built --with-ssh1 and the config does not *load* a Protocol 1 host key. Works: Protocol=1,2 + Hostkey not specified Protocol=1,2 + Hostkeys for both protocols specified. Doesn't work: Protocol=2 + Hostkey not specified. Protocol=1,2 + Hostkeys specified only for

2.5.1p1 Could not load host key
OpenSSH 2.5.1p1 was compiled on two different Linux machines, both with glibc 2.2, libz-1.1.3 and openssl-0.9.6. Both had been running 2.3.0p1 successfully. On both, the new sshd failed: # ./sshd -d -d -d -D debug1: sshd version OpenSSH_2.5.1p1 debug1: load_private_key_autodetect: type 0 RSA1 Disabling protocol version 2. Could not load host key RSA sessions worked. Generating a new DSA

Could not load host key
Hi All, So I tried to upgrade to 2.5.2p2 today. Got this when I stopped/started sshd: Disabling protocol version 2. Could not load host key Re-installed 2.3.0p1 and all was well again. This look familiar to anybody? Thanks, Jim -- Jim Seymour | PGP Public Key available at: jseymour at jimsun.LinxNet.com | http://www.uk.pgp.net/pgpnet/pks-commands.html
