unable to load shared library '/usr/local/lib/R/modules//R_X11.so'
Hi,
I downloaded a binary version of R for my Solaris 10 box (from http://www.sunfreeware.com/programlistsparc10.html#R), and everything looked fine during the installation. However, I got a "X11 module cannot be loaded" error when I attempted to save a graph to be a png file. Does it look like a problem of the Solaris box or a problem of the installation (missing library file)?

OSSH 2.5.2p2: Why is /usr/local/ put into the include & lib p aths under Solaris?
But the main question hasn't been answered: Why is /usr/local placed before
user-specified paths? Hypothetical example: You want to link against OpenSSL
0.96 for OpenSSH, but /usr/local contains 0.95, which is needed for
something else. (Assume it comes binary only on Solaris for the sake of
argument...)

Remove /usr/local as implicit include/library search path
I am afraid that removing /usr/local will increase the number of support
queries, OTOH I see your point.

Any ideas why a vfs module loads successfully then can't be found?

Library not loaded: /usr/local/lib/libquadmath.0.dylib
Hi all,
I tried to load a package which includes a shared object on one of my Macs,
and I got an error message below, which suggests that the file "
libquadmath.0.dylib" is missing in the /usr/local/lib folder. On my other
Mac however, I have no problem loading the package, and the file "
libquadmath.0.dylib" is in the /usr/local/lib folder. I wonder where this

libgssapi_krb5 whitch version required for 2.4.1
Hello list,
I am currently trying to build nut-ups on CentOS 5.3, but the build prozess
stops at:
/usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib/libgssapi_krb5.so when searching
for -lgssapi_krb5
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgssapi_krb5
which library version is required? The krb5-libs I've installed are of version
1.6.1. Anyone here succsesful in installing 2.4.1 on CentOS?
Best regards,

cannot load shared object /usr/lib/R/library/grDevices/libs//cairo.so
Hi, I am trying to test out the scripts here as a proof of concept
http://www.r-bloggers.com/integrating-php-and-r/
However, I am not able to reproduce the output graph in the browser.
Rscripts is working fine as I run the command
"Rscript /home/username/R/testscript.R 1000" for example, and a png graph
is output as expected, and I can output it to any folder where I have
permission
