AW: OpenSSH public key authentication does not work from Windows client if private key was added to SSH agent
Hey Damien, thank you for your reply. I posted the debug information at https://pastebin.com/40esNPED and replaced some sensitive information before (usernames, servernames, domainnames, IP addresses). In addition I commented some lines with a message like "### <my message> ###". Patrick -----Urspr?ngliche Nachricht----- Von: Damien Miller <djm at mindrot.org> Gesendet:

GPOs don't work after update from Samba4.0 alpha 17 to 4.0.1
Hi! I have updated our server from Samba 4 alpha 17 to Samba 4.0.1. Everything seems to work fine after some reconfiguration, but our GPOs are not working anymore. Samba 4 alpha 17 was using ntvfs and the root partition with the sysvol share was mounted with "user_xattr" only in /etc/fstab. Samba 4.0.1 is now set to use s3fs and the root partition is mouted with

SFTP - Private/Public Authentication Keysets Beyond The First Set
Thanks for responding so quickly! No but I will try. Are you saying the first vendor connection worked because id_rsa and id_rsa.pub are the defaults if not specified? (I didn't use the -i flag for the first vendor.) -----Original Message----- From: CentOS [mailto:centos-bounces at centos.org] On Behalf Of Steve Clark Sent: Wednesday, December 12, 2018 2:23 PM To: CentOS mailing list

SFTP - Private/Public Authentication Keysets Beyond The First Set
I'm new to SFTP and using this mailing list was able to successfully create my first Private/Public keyset for a vendor hosting the SFTP server (I'm the client). I created the keyset by typing this: # ssh-keygen -t rsa When asked for the password/passphrase I hit <Enter> and afterwards "id_rsa" and "id_rsa.pub" were created in "/root/.ssh/". I

getpwuid vs. getpwnam
This issue has probably been brought up before, but I'll mention it anyway. I just downloaded and built openssh 3.9p1 on Solaris 8. In my environment, I have two root accounts. The normal one and an alternate one (rjohn - uid 0) with it's own home directory (/export/home/rjohn). After building and installing openssh, I was having trouble getting my RSA authentication to work. In

Change initial directory based on port of reverse tunnel?
Hello I'm trying to create compatibility with an automated system that I do not have control over and cannot change. The system was built to connect to individual embedded linux machines that create reverse tunnels back to a server. These tunnels take the form: /bin/ssh -i /home/remote/.ssh/id_rsa -Nnx2TR 22000:127.0.0.1:22 robot at externalhost /bin/ssh -i /home/remote/.ssh/id_rsa -Nnx2TR

A mixed bag, but all the patches make sense together! Patch 1: Fix a bug that Tingting found: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1256222 Patch 2: Revert a patch that makes no sense now that we've added virt-v2v into base RHEL. This is just included because it's a cleanup needed before applying patch 3. Patch 3: Add the ability to use SSH identities (private keys) for virt-p2v
