Running, Softphones, ISDN, and a brand new Snom 821 are working
flawlessly. :)
Platform is Debian 8/Asterisk Packages (11) from Debian Repo.

Count number of different patterns (Polytomous variable)
Hi there,
Does anyone know a method to calculate the number of different patterns
in a given data frame. The variables are of polytomous type and not
binary (for the latter i found a package called "countpattern" which
unfortunately only functions for binary variables).
V1 V2 V3
0 3 1
1 2 0
1 2 0
So, in this case, i would like to get "2" as output.
Thanks

DIGEST-MD5 doesn't work
Hi,
my dovecot installation works since months and clients authenticate
using CRAM-MD5. But today I got the first chance to test an client that
supports DIGEST-MD5 - and it doesn't work. Because of lack of other
supporting clients and servers I'm now at the point I don't know which
side is to blame.
The error I get after the client answers the servers challenge is "-ERR

Support for here documents with sftp client in OpenSSH 2.5.1p1-1 (RH Linux 6.2 [2.2.x kernel])
A question on the cutting edge sftp client in OpenSSH 2.5.1p1-1:
Is there a standard set of commands for sftp clients? I was hoping to use
sftp as a drop in replacement for some simple FTP transfer scripts. In
particular, the ftp client allows specifying the password in the "user"
command:
user <account> <password>
The scripts use here documents to perform the transfers.

SFTP seems to require the public key file - why?
We migrated a server a few days ago, and the private keys we use to connect
to customers got moved as well. However, some of our automated sftp batches
were failing with authentication errors. Looking into the verbose output, I
noticed that even though ~/.ssh/config is explicitly configured to use a
specific identity file, sftp was presenting every key known to the
ssh-agent, in order. This

Strange interaction of sftp and protocol version 1
As I read the manpage, you need to enable Subsystems to have the server
support them.
[...]
Subsystem
Configures an external subsystem (e.g., file transfer daemon).
Arguments should be a subsystem name and a command to execute up?
on subsystem request. The command sftp-server(8) implements the
``sftp'' file transfer

How to use the paste function to create an already used variable
Hi there,
I have the following problem
Four data frames exist:
data1
data2
data3
data4
Now I want to write a loop and temporarily store the data1, data2,
data3, data4 in a variable called data.
I tried the following...
for (i in 1:4) {
Data <- paste("data",i,sep="")
...
..
}
but it doesn't function. I think the problem is the definition of the
mode of the pasted

remote DoS in sftp via crafted glob expressions (CVE-2010-4755)
Hi folks.
We were made aware of a MITRE CVE assignment on OpenSSH for a remote DoS
in sftp, described as:
The (1) remote_glob function in sftp-glob.c and the (2) process_put
function in sftp.c in OpenSSH 5.8 and earlier, as used in FreeBSD 7.3
and 8.1, NetBSD 5.0.2, OpenBSD 4.7, and other products, allow remote
authenticated users to cause a denial of service (CPU and memory
consumption) via

Sftp client improvements
Hello,
I want to know are there any plans on the sftp client (not server)
improvents?
Previously I was using ssh-2.4 packages (non-commercial) and they have
Fantastic
sftp client.
And when I've moved to openssh I found that openssh sftp client
functionality is more poor then ordinary ftp client have!
Here is some of the features I think, developers must concentrate on:
