similar to: ssh(1) is inaccurate

Hi there, I have an sshd running in a virtual machine running openSUSE 12.3. I want to connect to that VM via ssh (the host OS is Debian Testing), but it fails. In the syslog of the VM I only recieve ""could not write ident string to <IP>", even with LogLevel set to DEBUG. Normally when password is expired and if I do telnet , it will prompt for password change and at the same time user will allowed to logged in successfully.
