How does LLVM know where to resolve declared only functions?
> It's the linkers job to hook together functions and definitions that end up in the same binary. Your OS will then hook in functions from other binaries when your executable is loaded into memory.
How does it know whether it is a system function or a user-defined function?
It seems that user functions have higher priorities over system
functions as demonstrated by the following example.

Is it possible to generate the IR representation with the original macro information?
Hi,
I use the following commands to compile the IR. But I don't see the
macro information in the .ll file. Is there a way to preserve the
macro information (print() in this case) for debugging purposes?
$ clang -std=gnu99 -g3 -flto -Wall -pedantic -c -o main.o main.c
$ clang main.o -flto -fuse-ld=gold '-Wl,-plugin-opt=save-temps' -o main.exe
$ llvm-dis main.exe.0.0.preopt.bc

How does LLVM know where to resolve declared only functions?
Hi
In the generated .ll file, it may have something like this. How does
LLVM know where to look for the definition of printf? Is it documented
somewhere? Thanks.
declare i32 @printf(i8*, ...) #1

SSH fail to login due to hang over after authenticated.
I don't think it will be easy to identify the problem remotely. You can try
logging in with password (if not disabled), or sshing with some other key,
or logging into some other user. If you are able to get access to the
machine, post the server's error log here.

SSH fail to login due to hang over after authenticated.
Can you confirm if the problem is specific to the ssh client, or the ssh
server? (Try to ssh into the same server from different client, and to some
different server from the same client)

Nice repro. It looks well-defined to me too.
Is there a PR open yet?

SSH fail to login due to hang over after authenticated.
Hi OpenSSH,
I encountered that SSH will hang over after I input the password.
Could you help show me how to resolve this problem? Thanks for your
help.
Please find the ssh debug info and my ssh version as below.

OpenSSH_6.9p1, LibreSSL 2.1.8

IRMover asserts "mapping to a source type" when repeatedly linking - usage or LLVM bug?
Hi,
(sorry if the CC's are inappropriate, they seemed relevant based on a
git log of IRMover.cpp)
I'm using LLVM to implement Just-in-Time compilation for PostgreSQL. One
part of that is doing inlining of operators. For that I'm using bitcode
pre-generated using clang.
The current code uses a single LLVMContext & Orc to generate the
code. That largely workes well. But inlining

How to flatten a tree (based on list) to a certain depth?
Suppose that I have the following list of lists of frames 'root'
(let's call it a 'tree' of frames). I want to flatten it to be a list
of frames. However, if I unlist(root), it will flatten the frames as
well. Is there a simply way to flatten the tree to certain depth?
aframe1=data.frame(x=1:3,y=1:3)
aframe2=data.frame(u=7:9,v=11:13)
aframe3=data.frame(p=3:5,q=6:8)

[LLVMdev] Win32: Crash in DLL created by llvm that calls into the "putchar" function
Hello list,
I got a simple test case to reproduce a crash in code that has been
generated by llvm. The code calls into the "putchar" function from
LIBCMT.LIB. It works when creating an .exe file, but not when creating
a .dll file and calling into an exported function.
First, let me show how the code works as an .exe:

Hi,
I used the following commands on the program attached below:
llvm-gcc --emit-llvm main.c -c -o main.bc
opt -ipconstprop main.bc -o main1.bc
diff main.bc main1.bc
no difference was o/p :(
The Program Segment is as shown below:
#include <stdio.h>
void f1(int a)
{
a=a+1;
printf("%d",a);
}
void f2()
{
int b;
b=1;
f1(b);

R code for kernel density using kd-tree, looking for speed up
Dear R-help-list,
The following is R function I wrote for computing multi-dimensional kernel density. I am seeking R experts who can make the code to run faster, 50 times faster ideally.
Specifically, for function
kernel.estimate = function(points, bw),
the argument points is a d by n matrix as the n points in the d-dimensional space, bw is the bandwidth. The function will compute the kernel

tabstop in graphics
Hi,
I'm curious about Tab stops in graphics:
plot(1)
text(1.2, 1.2, "Char\nMoreChar")
works fine, but
text(1.2, 0.8, "Char\tMoreChar")
doesn't.
Exporting with pdf tells me that the sign width is unknown.
I'm not into informatics, so I don't know how a tabstop actually works. Is this at all possible in graphical commands as it is in write.table and the like?

drop1 with contr.treatment
Dear R Core Team
I've a proposal to improve drop1(). The function should change the
contrast from the default ("treatment") to "sum". If you fit a
model with an interaction (which ist not signifikant) and you
display the main effect with
drop1( , scope = .~., test = "F")
If you remove the interaction, then everything's okay. There is
no way to fit a

How to correct this

I tried to add a few circles on an existing figure using the following

grid.circle(x=0.5, y=0.5, r=0.5, draw=TRUE, gp=gpar(col=5))
points(0.5, 0.5, col = 5) # centre of the circle
, but all circles moved away from the centre. Could we do any
