invalid probe specifier nge::entry: "/usr/lib/dtrace/procfs.d"
I recently did a backport of a couple of networking bug fixes from s10x_u4_b6 to s10x_u3_b10. I patched just /platform/i86pc/kernel/unix and /platform/i86pc/kernel/amd64/unix in my existing u3 OS image and I''m seeing this dtrace problem when running any dtrace script: NODE hcb101 ~ $ ./tcpstat.sh dtrace: failed to compile script /dev/fd/10: "/usr/lib/dtrace/procfs.d", line

[PATCH] drop root privileges on solaris, request for testing
Hello all, this patch allows master process to drop more root priveleges under Solaris. My limited testing shows that code works, but I'm not sure that defined privilege set is permissive enough for dovecot. Unfortunately I have no root access to our Solaris servers to really test it. So if someone is ready to test this patch please do it :) Best regards. -------------- next part

Sandbox Error Running Wine Live
Again, I have another program that will not run Live with Wine, but if I run it as root it does run. It seems as if this "Running Live" issue is being ignored, although Running Live is a common feature with many Linux distros and is one great security environment vs. Running off hard disk. Yet having to run as root to get apps going in Live environment is occurning with more apps as I

limit memory and CPU when using libvirt-sandbox
I'm considering using virt-sandbox with lxc to sandbox and execute untrusted code like python scripts and compiled C code. Is it possible to limit CPU and Memory like is possible with lxc-execute and a config file? What are the defaults security settings? Is it completely isolated by default? What's the difference between lxc-execute and libvirt-sandbox? How can I use it in ubuntu?
