[GSoC'16] Add a Scheme Frontend for LLVM
Hi, everyone This proposal covers the OpenProjects idea 'Port the Bigloo Scheme compiler, from Manuel Serrano at INRIA Sophia-Antipolis, to output LLVM bytecode.' There is not a popular functional language frontend yet on LLVM. To my knowledge, this is mostly because LLVM is lack of runtime support for the functional language needs, and C foreign function interface calls are relatively

[GSoC'16] Proposal for Enhance SAFECode’s Baggy Bounds Checking
Abstraction ---------------------------------- This projects will enhance the ‘Baggy Bounds with Accurate Checking’ [1] work. I will provide more efficient runtime checks in BBAC framework by adding more informations to the memory object’s padding area. A new padding area scheme will be designed to make these informations compact and efficient to fetch. I will create some new runtime checks on

[GSoC'16] Weekly Status - June 27 - Zhengyang Liu
Dear LLVM and SVA community: This is to brief you the progress of this week. I mainly focused on minor fixes this week. Following is what I finished this week. 1. Move the implementation of runOnModule of RegisterGlobalVar pass from .h back to .cpp file. 2. Introduce two new functions to register and unregister function prototypes on llvm.compiler.used. 3. Added two regression tests for

BAD CLIENT error with mobile phone access
Hello! Can someone help a newbie? I''m using Instant Rails which has Mongrel configured inside. I''m running a web application and everything works fine. However, when I try to access my site using my mobile phone (a Nokia 3230) and its in-built web browser, i get the following error: Bad Client (XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX):Invalid HTTP format, parsing fails I believe it is because I

[GSoC] Project Proposal: Parallel extensions for llvm analysis and transform framework
Hello, Below is a proposal for a GSoC project that I would like to work on this year. Your input and feedback is much appreciated. Background: ========= My name is Kareem Ergawy and I currently work as part of the PIR project. PIR is an extension of the IR to support fork-join parallelism that is currently under review [1, 2, 3, 4]. Goals: ===== As a GSoC project, here I propose an

GSoC - Improve parallelism-aware analyses and optimizations
Hello! My name is Emanuel and I am an undergraduate student from Brazil (at the University of São Paulo) wanting to participate in this years GSoC on LLVM. Specifically, on the "Improve parallelism-aware analyses and optimizations" project. I currently do research on autotuning of LLVM IR optimization passes and I am sitting for a class about parallel computing, but I have been studying

[GSoC] Improve parallelism-aware analyses and optimizations
Hello, My name is Nader Al Awar, and I am a master's student at UT Austin. I’m interested in working on the "Improve parallelism-aware analyses and optimizations" project as part of GSoC. I looked at the relevant talks papers and I believe that I would be a good fit. Most of my background is in software engineering and testing, but recently my research has focused on applying HPC

getent and wbinfo not returning expected results?
Hello, For some time now have been trying to connect a Samba-3.0.14a-0.4 server running on SuSE Ent 9 linux server to our Exchange 2003 (running on Server 2003 Std w/ SP1) server which is also the AD server for our domain. I can connect to the shares using the AD as the authentication source, so the basic functionality is there but some command output does not show in the way i expect

[LLVMdev] GSoC 2009: Auto-vectorization
Hi all, I'd like to have a first stab at a loop-based auto-vectorization pass as part of 2009's Google Summer of Code program. As far as I can tell from searching the mailing list archives, no work on such an auto-vectorizer seems to be currently in progress. Whereas auto-vectorization is a well-researched topic, complexity seems to quickly explode once more advanced loop constructs are

[GSoC 2017] Project proposal queries
Thank you very much for your replies. I tinker frequently with embedded systems and was hoping I could contribute to an `-Os` flag for LLVM or alternately, improving code generation in the experimental AVR backend if there is a willing mentor. As for encoding analysis results in MachineInstr IR, it's a feature I too sorely need in the project I'm working on. Would it be helpful to

Regarding the project "Create LoopNestPass"
Hi, Thanks for your help! I've checked the sources that you mentioned. Currently, I think that I would need to implement a FunctionToLoopNestPassAdaptor which is essentially the same as the FunctionToLoopPassAdaptor but operates only on LI.getTopLevelLoops(). We might also need a LNPMUpdater (LoopNestPassManagerUpdater) which disallows adding inner-loops back into the pipeline, and
