How to remove LVM Physical Volume from Volume Group?
Hi. I have a volume group (let's say) vg_data.
It consists from /dev/sdd5

sdd7
I added sdc5
Now I want to remove (free) sdd7 and you is to for RAID partition.
What are the commands (ordered) I need to perform? I failed to find
clear howto.
vg-data has only one partition, total size is over 1TB, free space is

Re: disk config
Since your actually forming the raid on dom-0 and not inside of the
guest, there is absolutely no need to load md and associated modules in
the guest at all. The guest will just see the volume group you are
exporting as a regular sata drive the same size as the vg being
exported.
I''m guessing the second drive is for swap?
Hope this helps

Sounds like he is doing a network install, and is looking for the network
path that must be supplied in order to do the install. If he doesn't have
a local repository, then he has to supply the first part of the path (e.g.
http://..../xyz/ ) and he has to stop at the directory level above .../7/
or some such. I

RAID 1 Post Install
Hello all,
I've got CentOS 5.2 installed on an old Pentium III server. The server is
used by a club at my school, and they are rapidly running out of room on the
internal IDE drives that are configured in software RAID 1.
I have a Silicon Image SATA controller in the server, and I was planning on
adding two more SATA hard drives to the computer.
Is there a GUI like Disk Druid for

Setting up XEN domU causes RAID5 to fail?
This may be a coincidence or not, but I''m building a new XEN system for
myself for work purposes.
I support several different versions of a software that cannot be installed
at the same time, so I decided I wanted to setup a XEN domU for each.
I had 5 spare 500GB drives so I put them in my system and partitioned them
so I have a RAID1 boot, a RAID5 root and a RAID5 images.
I got
