Bug#770456: Please start a qemu process in domain 0.
Package: xen-utils-common
Version: 4.4.0-1
Severity: important
Tags: patch
Under some circumstances the xl toolstack needs to create a loopback
mount of a guest disk in dom0 (e.g. in order to run pygrub). Depending
on the nature of the guest disk (e.g. qcow2 or raw file image based)
this can require a qemu instance in dom0.
The upstream xencommons starts such a qemu on boot. The following patch

Bug#759384: xen: Lack of copyright entry for Vinay Sajip
Source: xen
Version: Lack of copyright entry for VInay Sajip
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
I noticed that d/copyright lacks information for Vinay Sajip and his permissive
license.
You can see for which files it should be included:
http://codesearch.debian.net/search?prev=0&q=the+name+of+Vinay+Sajip&skip=99,
e.g. tools/python/logging/logging-0.4.9.2/* and

Bug#769543: xen-utils-common: missing xen-init-name
Package: xen-utils-common
Version: 4.4.1-3
I use xen, and I start some domains using symlinks in /etc/xen/auto. On
startup, the file /etc/init.d/xendomains is supposed to start them. It
does start the domains, but it also throws out a bunch of errors:
/etc/init.d/xendomains: line 135: domains: bad array subscript
The culprit is this line in /etc/init.d/xendomains:

[LLVMdev] How to make correct pattern for instruction?
Hi,
I'm a beginner user using LLVM, and I'm trying to create a new backend
using CPU0 Tutorial as reference.
I have two instructions for add: add and addi (this is a pseudo
instruction, but imediate operations is not available in architecture).
That is my idea: When the LLVM instruction selection find addi r3 = r2 +
value
must convert to this:
- load r1, value
- add r3 = r2 + r1

Anton, any chance we can get Renato or Chris access to llvm.org to fix this?

pvgrub replacements
The number of distributions that are dropping grub 1 support is raising.
Tody I received a notification from Arch Linux who are also doing this.
The problem with this situation is when a distro installs grub2 because
of a package dependency.
So what I would like to know is whether there are more alternatives for
PV than pvgrub. ExtLinux or pvgrub2 would be nice..

Streaming Stats Problem
I run IceCast 2.3.2 at Port Stephens FM radio station for streaming our
broadcast feed. Most things work fine but there is a small glitch somewhere
that seems to drop the 'Source Level Stats' information after a few days.
The application must be stopped then started again to reconnect the 'Source
Level Stats'. It used to work fine some time back but not now.

[LLVMdev] How to make correct pattern for instruction?
Hi Johnny,
Thank you for your help. I guess the pseudo instruction does not interfere in
the generated assembly code.
I'll check the file that describes the registers and I hope understand why
the assembly code is printed wrong (now is printed things like add r1, r0,
-40).
Cheers,
Carlos

SIP call drops after 32 seconds, but only when....
hi,
I have a really strange problem which is driving me crazy for days now.
If I register my asterisk (tried all versions from 1.6 up to 13.x) with
one sip registrar,
everything works... calls go out and call come in... no 32 seconds limit.
but as soon as I configure another sip registration on another server,
outgoing
calls drop after 32 seconds.
as far as I know, there is no firewall in

adding xen support to grub2 got segfault running grub2-mkimage
There is some interest lately in making a self-contained grub2 boot image - call it pvgrub2, used for booting paravirtual domU in xen where a grub2 config is installed.
First attempt------------------
I first tried using the grub2*.src.rpm from the C7 vault.
I configured as shown belowhttps://blog.xenproject.org/2015/01/07/using-grub-2-as-a-bootloader-for-xen-pv-guests/

[LLVMdev] Out of source backend
Hello,
I am in a developing process for a new llvm backend (target). Can I
create the new target subdirectory out of source. My point is that I want
to create a separate svn repo only for my new backend directory and use the
llvm project as an external repository. I have to amke some changes to llvm
project, to integrate my backend to the llvm, but I won't commit my changes
to the llvm

Strange Issue: asterisk deleted
Hi,
I looked for asterisk in /usr/sbin using the commands ls and find and whereis and it was not there.
I know that the process is killed because when I start asterisk using the command asterisk -vvvvc it starts and then it exits and the word killed is wrote on the console.
Ever time I copy a new executable to /usr/sbin either using cp command or make install it gets deleted too.
Now I used
