Unwanted permission changes
Hi, I am using SuSE 8.2 with samba-2.2.7a-72 as a PDC. The ext3 partitions are mounted with the acl option and I can modify the ACL permissions with the setfacl tool. When I create a file on a share from a Windows client, the default rights specified in the ACL are applied correctly. But when I save the file a second time, the permissions for the owner and the owning group (which have explicitly

Announcement System for a Charity
I'm putting together an Asterisk server for a local charity to use as an announcement system. I've been thinking about how to write the dialplan to allow different options for different groups' announcements, as well as mailboxes for the various groups and the charity's administrators. Of course, this would also need to include an option for the heads of the different groups to

Donation programme
Is there any decision about the donation programme? The Web page still says: "If you are looking to make a cash dontation to the CentOS Project, please check back here after August 15th, 2009." I assume that donations aren't refused, but is there a suggested amount, as there used to be? -- Yves Bellefeuille <yan at storm.ca> "Yves Bellefeuille: Eterna malvenkanto en

Make a donation via PayPal? (was: [R] Monetary support to the R-project)
Dear R developers I understand that this is not a proper r-devel message, but it still touches to the organisation of the R project. I would like to make a small donation to the project, but I am not comfortable with sending my credit card details via post or mail and, as echoed elsewhere on r-help, would prefer to go through a generally accepted service such as PayPal. Would there be any

Paypal donation or Amazon wishlist for core team?
Is there any Paypal donation or Amazon wishlist for rails core team members? I know programming in Ruby & Rails should be reward enough, but its probably not a bad idea to let rails users express their appreciation in this way. -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

NVidia Hardware Donation possible
Hi, I talked to our IT guy over lunch. He thinks there is an old GT630 with 384 shaders somewhere. The 384 shader GPU is the GK208. Given we can find it and it is obsolete, I probably can donate this one too. Let me know if you are looking for this one. Donation to the FLAC development project
Hi, I have a legitimate request for information about how I can contribute to the development of FLAC. I am not a developer, but would like to make a financial contribution. FLAC has immensely enhanced my enjoyment of music. Please let me know if this is an inappropriate forum for this request. Please respond. Thank you. None of them are the super-high-end cards (that I know of). Note that

New Server donation - Thanks :)
I would like to inform the CentOS user community that we have received a nice new server donation from XpressAccess Web Hosting ( http://xpressaccess.com/ ). I would like to thank XpressAccess and Dwight for working with us to get this server up and running. If you need to host a domain, why not check out XpressAccess, or one of our other donors ( http://www.centos.org/mirrors/ ), most of which

New Server Donation - Thanks
I would like to inform the CentOS user community that we have received another new server donation. This time from EuroVPS ( http://www.EuroVPS.com/ ). I would like to thank EuroVPS, and Igor and Vasili, for working with us to get this server up and running. This one is especially nice, as they have given us more bandwidth (20 mbit/sec) than usual, and this server is in the EU, where we really

Donation of 10 ePass2003 to the OpenSSH project
Dear all, There were a lot of discussions about smartcards and tokens, and we would like to make a simple offer: donate to each OpenSSH developer an ePass2003. The ePass2003 relies on one single chip and the most advanced OpenSC token available to date. It is also the cheapest token of all times.
