Bug#731038: xen-utils-4.3: cannot create hwm
You should post your xlexample.hvm file. Nonetheless, I have something
like this in my file.
device_model_version="qemu-xen"
device_model_override="/usr/bin/qemu-system-x86_64"
builder='hvm'
Please reply if this does or does not work for you.
I think that Debian's xen hvm support is either broken or very poorly
documented.

OVMF Bios Option
Hello Xen Users,
Been experimenting with upstream-qemu and wanted to try out the OVMF bios
option, but I seem to be missing something.
Are there additional steps to installing OVMF beyond compiling Xen? I saw
notes on patching back in february, but I thought the package was included
with Xen 4.2 on release.
When I attempt to set it as my bios option, the machine boots then
immediately closes.

Qxl problem with xen domU, is xen spice and/or qemu bugs?
I''ve been trying to have all spice features working on xen domUs since
the end of 2011.
Basic functions were already working. Adding qemu parameters manually
for vdagent and usbredirection was and is also working (I made the
patches to support them directly on xl).
Qxl was never working: one bug on xen and one on qemu about qxl are
fixed, the other xen bug found months ago on the

ceph and libxl errors attaching device
Dear,
I need to attach some ceph (0.94.6) block devices to our openstack
(kilo) running instances (xen 4.4) .
Nova is able to create volumes, attach a detach (alt least there are no
errors)
The hypervisor can see the blockdevice:
# rbd -p volumes ls
volume-xxxxxxxx-7342-434b-9xx1-d046bcxxxxfd
And the instance xml seems to be ok:

User/Group HWM ignored when converting idmap from tdb to LDAP
Hi!
I'm trying to convert my tdb-based idmap mapping to a LDAP-based
one. This generally works as intended, with one exception - the
highest uidNumber/gidNumber in use is not transferred, and this causes
duplicate use of the same uid/gidNumber.
Here's what I'm doing:
1) net idmap dump /var/cache/samba/winbindd_idmap.tdb > idmap.dump
2) Set idmap backend in smb.conf to

Bug#776742: xen-utils-common: no support for VGA Passthrough
Package: xen-utils-common
Version: 4.4.1-6
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
(There appear to be several reports on the BTS with concerns relating to
this report. Some unarchiving/merging may be necessary. Reassignment may
be needed as well since I'm not sure which package this problem would
fall under. Ultimately decided to file with xen-utils-common with 'xl'
being the frontend

Bug#733865: xen-utils-4.3: qemu-dm is not executable: No such file or directory
Package: xen-utils-4.3
Version: 4.3.0-3+b1
Severity: normal
When I try to create an HVW withDevian/xen, I run into trouble. It used to work, maybe with xen 4.1, but it has never worked since.
Bug 688311 was filed, with the same exact problem. That bug was somehow closed and no resolution or explanation was provided.
I have seen posts mentioning "traditional" and "upstream"

cannot boot guest VM
Hi,
I''m trying to boot a PV VM I just installed (following http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/Debian_Guest_Installation_Using_Debian_Installer) without success.
My XEN installation is xen-unstable 54c8c9eaee92+ on a Debian unstable machine (x86_64), kernel 3.3.4+. The VM I installed is, again, a Debian unstable x86_64. The installation went smoothly; I used an 8GB file as a disk back-end. I went

[PATCH v2] Handle xen_platform_pci=0 case
Hi,
Here is a little patch that attempt to fix the issue regarding
xen_platform_pci=0 not been handled.
There is one patch left from the previous version. The patch that was adding
qemu_machine_override have been removed as it is unnecessary. If someone wants
to change the -machine, it can always add it to device_model_args_hvm, as QEMU
appear to use the last one.

[PATCH v5 1/2] libxl: Introduce functions to add and remove USB devices to an HVM guest
This patch exposes a generic interface which can be expanded in the
future to implement USB for PVUSB, qemu, and stubdoms. It can also be
extended to include other types of USB other than host USB (for example,
tablets, mice, or keyboards).
For each device removed or added, one of two protocols is available:
* PVUSB
* qemu (DEVICEMODEL)
The caller can additionally specify "AUTO", in
