Backporting Xen 3.1 to Etch
Hi,
this morining I was trying to compile xen 3.1 on my Debian Etch (AMD64).
I have a little problem with gcc-multilib. It depends on many packages
that don't exist in Etch. So I brutally remove it from debian/control
and then dpkg-buildpackage.
There was some warning on compilation:
dpkg-shlibdeps: warning: format of `NEEDED libxenstore.so' not recognized

[PATCH V5] libxenstore: filter watch events in libxenstore when we unwatch
XenStore puts in queued watch events via a thread and notifies the user.
Sometimes xs_unwatch is called before all related message is read. The use
case is non-threaded libevent, we have two event A and B:
- Event A will destroy something and call xs_unwatch;
- Event B is used to notify that a node has changed in XenStore.
As the event is called one by one, event A can be handled before

Error : libxenlight state driver is not active
Hi all. I recently compiled xen 4.1.3 on Fedora 17(64 bit). The xen entry
appears in the grub. Inspite of booting Fedora, with xen hypervisor entry ,
when I start virt-manager, I get an error

unable to get libvirt work with libxenlight
Hi all:
I am having problem with libxenlight as the underlying xen drive. I
compiled libvirt with configure flag: "--with-libxl". However, the output
of command: ldd libvirt.so did not show a symbol link to libxenlight.so. I
assume it should link to it, but I could be wrong.
To verify libxenlight is working, I then stopped xend. After this, virsh -c
xen:/// list can not list Domain-0

[PATCH V2] libxenstore: filter watch events in libxenstore when we unwatch
While on entry to xs_unwatch, there may be an event on its way from
xenstored (eg in the ring or in the local kernel), all such events
will definitely come before the reply to the unwatch command. So at
the point where the unwatch reply has been processed (after xs_talkv),
any such now-deleted watch events will definitely have made it to
libxenstore''s queue where we can remove them.
As

[PATCH] Make libxenstore a versioned library
Hi,
Unlike libxenguest and libxenctl, libxenstore is unversioned.
Attaching a patch which rectifies that.
Cheers,
Mark.

problems with xl (libxenlight)
Since new version of xen use xl as the default toolstack to manage xen,
I've met a lot of problems.
1. xl has no commands such as start and clone, which is confusing. How can
I bring a vm back after I shutdown it?
2. Each time I use 'xl shutdown domid' it comes into "PV control interface
not available: external graceful shutdown not possible.
Use "-F" to fallback to ACPI

[PATCH] Fix memory leak in libxenstore python bindings
Hi,
Temporary tuple0 python object was not freed at the end of
xspy_set_permissions() in case no error occurred. To reduce code duplication,
this path reuses the cleanup code.

[ANNOUNCE] libxenlight
Hi all,
I am pleased to announce "libxenlight", a new small and lightweight C
library that refactors existing code in a coherent and easy to use API
to interface to the hypervisor and xenstore to perform operations such
as domain creation and destruction, suspend/restore and pci passthrough.
The goals of libxenlight are:
- be easy to use and to extend
- provide a simple and robust API

Extend Multiboot1 with support for ELF64 file format
I am the author of patch, and I'm still using it. Not very carefully tested thought, but seems to work well. As you can see, it's basically the same code as in loading Elf32 binary.
If you need more information, feel free to ask me.

[PATCH V2] libxc, libxenstore: make the headers C++-friendlier
Made the xenctrl.h and xenstore.h easier to use with C++:
added ''extern "C"'' statements, moved the definition of
enum xc_error_code above it''s typedef, and renamed a ''new''
parameter (''new'' is a C++ keyword).

[PATCH] xl: make libxl_uuid2string internal to libxenlight
libxenlight exports a function libxl_uuid2string which is used
internally in several places but has one external caller in xl. The
function mainly implements policy so should not be part of the
libxenlight API. The extent to which it can be considered mechanism it
is not a xen mechanism since UUID''s are not a concept exlusive to xen.
The one caller in xl seems to be an
