vanilla build of 7.7p1 release on linux/4.17 fails with gcc8 @ "/usr/bin/ld: unrecognized option '-Wl,-z,retpolineplt'"
Verifying a report I just got pinged about, building vanilla openssh 7.7p1 on linux configures ok, but fails build around 'retpoline' I've started looking through recent reports; haven't _yet_ found anything similar. While I continue, is any of the following familiar/expected? Either known bug/issue or env conflict? The current env includes supposedly retpoline-ready GCC 8.1.1,

Small fixes needed for Riello driver
Elio, 1) The comment block in drivers/riello.h points to the Megatec protocol documentation. Are the links in drivers/riello.c correct? If so, we can change the .h file to match the .c file. 2) clang caught this bug: drivers/riello.c:984:28: warning: argument to 'sizeof' in 'memset' call is the same expression as the destination; did you mean to provide an explicit length?

`git describe' says V_7_3_P1-207-gc924b2ef (shouldn't it say V_7_4_P1-<yadayada>?). This is what I see: gcc -g -O2 -Wall -Wpointer-arith -Wuninitialized -Wsign-compare -Wformat-security -Wsizeof-pointer-memaccess -Wno-pointer-sign -Wno-unused-result -fno-strict-aliasing -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -ftrapv -fno-builtin-memset -fstack-protector-strong -fPIE -I. -I.

openssh build failure on High Sierra (10.13.2)
Back in January/March of 2017, it was the case that building openssh with the latest openssl on MacOS 10.12.x (Sierra) was a bit of a bother. I could build everything with Xcode, but the resulting sshd segfaulted upon invocation (see the archives). So I built gcc 6.3 and used that to build openssh 7.x on Sierra. As long as machines stayed on 10.12.x, all was fine. Under High Sierra, the Xcode
