The cable that came with the ups has a serial connector on one end and a usb on the other. cat /proc/bus/usb/devices produces T: Bus=01 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=01 Cnt=01 Dev#= 4 Spd=1.5 MxCh= 0 D: Ver= 1.10 Cls=00(>ifc ) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS= 8 #Cfgs= 1 P:

Help with USB support for a Kebo UPS-650D
Folks, I'm fairly new to this whole Linux UPS thingie, but I'd quite like to have a look at getting my UPS to work under Linux and would be grateful for any help in getting a driver. I have a reasonable working knowledge of Linux and software development, and thus am happy to modify config files, alter kernel settings, etc, although I'm no C guru. I have a Kebo UPS-650D, which

First off, my apologies for bringing back this thread from the dead (September 2005, http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut-upsdev/2005-September/000150.html), however my problem seems relevant enough that I wondered what happened to this thread as it seems to have died after the message I quote below. help writing a usb hid driver for existing ups
I've got a Powercom Imperial UPS, with an internal USB<=>serial converter. It implements the same protocol as other powercom devices implements, but only when talking over serial port (there's no such port on the device). Someone wrote a draft version of usbserial driver for it, and the UPS works with this kernel-level driver and with powercom driver from nut (using /dev/ttyUSBx

I have a Belkin F6H500ukUNV ups that I am attempting to get working under nut, however it does not appear to be detected by nut, I'm assuming that I need to feed some information back to you guys to get it included in the database somwhere. I've included (what I can think might be) the relivant outputs. Please let me know if you require anything else. dmesg output /sbin/newhidsups

[LLVMdev] n-bit bytes for clang/llvm
> It's definitely doable, but I'd be worried about the maintenance burden. Yes, that is a problem. We are currently not allowed to reveal our target (which has 16-bit bytes, and registers with non-power-of-two bit widths) fully, and therefore not able to submit it upstream. One idea we have toyed with is to create a simple "dummy" version of our target, just to be able

[LLVMdev] n-bit bytes for clang/llvm
Back in 2009 there was some discussion of the practicality of supporting char sizes greater than 8-bit: http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/cfe-dev/2009-September/thread.html#6349 http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvmdev/2009-September/thread.html#26025 with the consensus seemingly being "quite doable, please get a good patch and submit". However the current code appears (to my

[LLVMdev] seeking a mailing list for llvm ports
Hi - sorry to intrude, but can somebody point me to a suitable mailing list where a tyro can get some advice on modifying an existing llvm llvm assembler ... rather lightly? I want to add an extra instruction to the assembler/machine code supported by the OR1K llvm port. Well, there are a few more things I need to do, but that will be good enough to start with! I was able to what I wanted

Handling return from modal pages on rails
Hi List, I didn''t like the way store_location worked in rails. It doesn''t know you''ve pushed the "back" button, and it always returns to the top of a page. On a large page, the part you were looking at would no longer be on the screen. People try to deal with this using an AJAX hack, but it seems to me that the proper way to fix it is to store the return

I have a MGE Evolution 3000 connected via USB to a linux server (HP Proliant G3). The server is running kernel 2.4.30 and nut-2.0.3.
