NUT 2.x causes uhci-usb error messages in syslog.
Hello, For a while I have been running NUT 2.0.0 just fine with my APC Back-UPS RS 800 using the usbhid interface. I decided to upgrade to 2.0.2, and all went well (upsc and upsd/upsmon seem happy to talk to the UPS), but I am getting a ton of these messages in my syslog: Jul 6 17:12:45 yggdrasil kernel: usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 3, frame# 780 Jul 6 17:12:50 yggdrasil kernel:

Build 2.0.4, usb.h missing.
Hi! I've got a Mandrake 2006.0 machine and a APC Back-UPS Pro 500/1000/1500 (from lsusb). The Mandrake package version of nut is 2.0.1 and hidups actually detects the UPS, however I get loads of these: Sep 12 18:26:11 vader hidups[7658]: Ignoring x86 page event 0xff860080 (0) Sep 12 18:26:11 vader hidups[7658]: Unhandled event: 0x840058 (6) Sep 12 18:26:11 vader hidups[7658]: Unhandled

Can not find the Belkin F6H375-USB
I have changed over to CentOS5 on some of our computers. I had been using Mandriva 2006 and the nut software worked using: driver = newhidups port = auto Using the same version of nut with the same config files on CentOS5, I get the following error output from 'upsdrvctl': Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.0.4 Network UPS Tools: New USB/HID UPS driver 0.28 (2.0.4) No

newhidups... at last.
Hi Arnaud, hi all I wish you all the best for 2006. Enjoying of some less stressed time, I follow your advice, Arnaud, to switch our UPS management on the newhidups driver. ( Enfin ! ;) Our goal is to support (soon) the new MGE ASR ELLIPSE ( and of course also the old ELLIPSE and EXTREME models ). I rebuild the libusb-0.1.10a packages to conform to our installation process. I perform the same

Problems suse 9.3, ellipse premium 500
Hi, I have installed in suse 9.3 and ellipse premium 500 usb a psp 3.0 with yast2 and versions: nut-2.0.2-4 mgeups-psp-3.0.0-3 the first time that I launch psp it seems to contact the UPS and you can make changes to the parameters and all seems ok. If you make a reboot the psp hangs up and if you try /etc/init.d/ups it fails: Starting service NUT: -> Starting UPS driver: Network UPS Tools -

Problems with config of newhidups
Hi all, I just downloaded, built and installed nut-2.0.4-pre2. I have an APC Smart ups 3000 connected via a usb cable. I have compiled and installed the usb drivers. I installed the libhidups and libhid.usermap per the README. I have the following ups.conf: [APC-3000-ups] driver = newhidups port = auto desc = "APC smart 3000" When I try to start the driver I get the

newhidups fails only at boot
I can start the driver successfully manually, after the machine is up and running, but at boot time, it can't find my UPS. My init script makes sure that the usbfs is up (by checking for the existence of /proc/bus/usb/devices), and I can't think of what else could be different with the boot-time failure versus the manual startup after logging in. I'll include my configuration at the

newhidups: merged regex changes
I have gone ahead and merged the regex_branch with the main Development branch. Reason: recent renaming of files and moving around of code leads to conflicts between the branches that will be increasingly difficult to resolve. It is easier to merge now while the two branches are still relatively similar and most edits non-overlapping. The merge is between tags before_PSE_6 and after_PSE_6 on

MGE Ellipse Premium 1200 USB cable only works if plugged after boot
I have an MGE Ellipse Premium 1200 that I connected to my server using its USB cable. Nut seems to be working fine. I've done a power down test and it worked and came back up when the UPS had power again. I'm using the newhidups driver and the USB cable. The problem I'm having is that if I boot with the cable connected newhidups says it can't find the UPS. If I unplug and plug in

USB devices with same vendor:product id
Hi, We have a VM with several USB devices attached. Everything works well, but sometimes, after a reboot of the host, some usb device get a different bus/device number and that prevent the reboot of the VM : ------- error: Failed to start domain xxx error: internal error: Did not find USB device 04b9:0300 bus:1 device:5 ------- I guess this is because we have multiple usb devices with the same

NUT-2.0.5: newhidups on RedHat ES4
Hello everybody, After succeeded in "tuning" nut-2.0.0's hidups and 2.0.3's newhidups on customized Linux kernels, we are now facing a new challenge : trying to install nut-2.0.5 on a RedHat ES4 which is based on a 2.6.9 kernel. I picked up the 2.0.5 source package and follow the INSTALL doc until step 6. So far so good. RH ES4 is managed by udev, therefore I presume we

script called from qemu hook freezes.
Greetings, I'm executing an external script when the qemu hook is called with start or release, the script is rather simple, upon start it iterates over the output of lsusb -t and for each device, it looks if it should be added to the vm we started, if so, it attaches it to the vm as follows: virsh --connect qemu:///system "${cmd}" "${domain}" /dev/stdin << END

nut + usb + udev with kernel 2.6.22
Hi all, Here's a brief history of my adventure: I purchased a CyberPower 685 AVR and decided to connect it through USB to my Gentoo linux machine running kernel 2.6.22. While the device was detected properly and added to /dev, it was added with the wrong permissions (gid was set to 'usb' instead of 'nut', as it was expected to be according to the rules under
