error handling in upssched.c
While looking into Laurent Lesage's problem with upssched, I noticed
something in exec_cmd():
http://boxster.ghz.cc/projects/nut/browser/trunk/clients/upssched.c#L79
In the man pages for system(3) on both OS X and Linux (Debian sarge),
I do not see any mention of errno being set. The error code is
returned by system, and I am wondering if the "file not found" error

Shutdown problem with Mecer 1000VA Online UPS
Hi Johan,
The driver is expecting either 'ACK' or no reply at all in case of
success and the command itself echoed back in case of errors.
On the other hand, your UPS replies '(ACK' in case of success and
'(NAK' on failure.
So.. when the driver first tries to stop pending shutdowns and you get
the 'operation not permitted' error, the driver interprets it as a

You're right.
Isn't this a simple fix - a call to sigprocmask ?

Mustek Powermust 600VA
Hi,
I'm having a hard time configuring a Mustek Powermust 600VA ups to
work via USB with nut. I read somewhere that nut works OK via the
rs232 cable, but unfortunately I don't have a COM port in my computer.
The kernel detects the ups as an Xbox pad :) and loads the xpad
module. I tried running /lib/nut/megatec with different /dev/ttySx but
it displays megatec protocol UPS was not

N-Power MEV-3000LT compatibility report and problem
Hello,
the code below the failing part mentions this flavor of protocol, drivers/blazer_ser.c:463
/*
* If a command is invalid, it will be echoed back.
* As an exception, Best UPS units will report "ACK" in case of success!
*/
I prepared a patch, it adds a similar check and also checks (in both occurencies) for
blazer_command()<0, the latter

I got this simple test Sieve config:

[PATCH] fuse: fix return value of guestunmount for unmounted paths
Exit with 3 as return value when fusermount fails, because the specified
mount point is not considered mounted for the user. This is in line
with what the guestunmount documentation says.
Adapt the test-guestunmount-fd test to the updated return value.
Thanks to: Maxim Perevedentsev.

(no subject)
I'd like to submit a patch to the 'hidups' driver. I'm a bit new to
open-source development model, so I hope I'm not committing a faux paus by
just posting it here. I did verify that the problem still exists (by
source code inspection) in the latest dev snapshot, which is
nut-2.0.3-pre2. I'm using nut-2.0.2 myself.
The problem is when I'm connecting to my APC

[PATCH 0/10] Add a mini-library for running external commands.
Inspired by libvirt's virCommand* internal mini-library, this adds
some internal APIs for running commands.
The first patch contains the new APIs. The subsequent patches change
various parts of the library over to use it.
