Unable to set up a "serial-over-USB" UPS (APC BZ2200BI-BR)
Hello Charles and Douglas, I really believe that BZ2200-BR model is the same as mine BZ1200-BR, with different capacity. If you see the BZ2200-BR specs you will notice the manufacturer "APC-Microsol". Those no-breaks have a USB port in it, but in fact it is a serial<->usb cable, usually uses the port "/dev/cuaU0". In mine, the serial<->usb chip is from FTDI, and

APC UPS wrong input voltage
Folks, I've asked this question on the FreeNAS forum but there are no ideas there as it looks like it's a NUT issue. Original question: https://forums.freenas.org/index.php?threads/apc-ups-reporting-wrong-input-voltage.60888/ the nut driver is reporting the wrong input voltage. I am in the UK, 230V but it's reporting circa 108. If I connect it to the laptop and run powerchute it

Fwd: Liebert PSA UPS problem.
Hi all, Sorry for the delay - three business trips abroad and LOTS of head scratching with USB Keys and DVD's of SuSE and FreeBSD... The question about the USB reports from Windows is still unanswered (I am abroad again !), but *think* the Liebert driver had been stopped. I can report the following updates for my linux setups; SuSE/FreeBSD/FreeNAS [remember here I am trying to make nut

Power Down ESXi before SAN
I have 2 APC UPS systems, one is connected to my ESXi host and the other to my FreeNAS. The battery for the FreeNAS will run out before the battery for the ESXi, so I need ESXi to shutdown first. If I wait until BatteryLow on ESXI, it will be too late as FreeNAS will have already shutdown. How can I change the configuration on ESXI to shutdown after a small delay so that it is done before

Wait for network delay
I am running NUT as part of FreeNAS 9.2.0. I have looked through the manuals, but I don't see how to address my issue. The box has 4 NIC's in a LACP LAGG group. It takes a while for LACP to finish, and NUT tries to start before packets are flowing. NUT will complain endlessly about communication errors and never establish SNMP communication with my APC UPS. If I stop NUT and restart

Trouble getting Roline/Powercom UPS recognized
Hi all, I’m new to NUT and have some trouble getting my new UPS to work. Since the HCL listed Powercom UHID models as „green“ I thought buying a Roline (German rebranded Powercom) model would be a good idea. Issue with apcupsd-ups?
Hello;I just came across NUT, testing FreeNAS/FreeBSD. I?m running at home a APC UPS connected to another computer, running apcupsd. I found out that NUT didn't talk by default to apcupsd, and there was a driver created relatively recently (apcupsd-ups), which filled in that gap. The version I found on my FreeBSD/FreeNAS system seems to imply that there is more to come to that driver (0.04)
